Debbie unlocked her phone and noticed a new message from an unknown number. Curiosity mingled with caution, she opened the text and begins to read Lou's words. As she reads the first few lines, her eyebrows furrow in confusion.
"Debbie,
I hope this message finds you well. I want you to know that I understand if you don't want to see me...
A mix of skepticism and apprehension enveloped her, questioning Lou's motived and the sincerity of her intentions. However, as Debbie continued to read, a gradual shift occurs within her.
Would you be open to meet for a coffee?
Please take your time to think about it, and if you're willing, let's find a time and place that works for both of us.
I just want to see you again...
Wishing you all the best,
Lou"
What the fuck ?
Debbie set her phone down. She knew she had a choice to make. A choice that could potentially open old wounds or bring about answers she has longed for. But deep down, she knew she had to go. It took her the day to think about it and finally answer.
"Hi. I'm free Saturday morning for coffee. Take it or leave it."

Lou woke up on Saturday morning with excitement but anxiety , knowing that she will soon be meeting Debbie. She jumped out of bed with renewed energy, eager to start the day that holds the promise of potential reconciliation.
As she stood before her closet, Lou carefully selected her best outfit, wanting to make a strong impression. Her eyes fell upon a stunning purple suit, one that exuded confidence and individuality. She slept into it, the fabric hugging her curves in all the right places, empowering her with a sense of self-assurance.
With a quick glance in the mirror, she smiled at her reflection. The suit and the necklaces, feeling empowered by her attire. The blonde took a deep breath, the fear bubbling within her. This moment was significant, she was going to finally see Debbie again.

Lou arrived and took a sit in this little coffee Debbie had chosen. This place was a cozy, inviting space nestled in the heart of the city and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air.
Ten minutes later, the brunette appeared at the door. As Lou caught sight of Debbie, her heart skipped a beat. There she was standing, dressed in a simple with a black jean and a white shirt. Radiating an effortless beauty. Her presence commanded the room, and Lou couldn't help but admire the way Debbie carried herself with grace and poise.
Lou's eyes traced Debbie's face, taking in every detail. She was still so damn gorgeous, even if her face looked more mature. Nevertheless, Lou could read the lack of sleep and food around the brunette's eyes. As they locked eyes, nervousness punched Lou in the face. However, she took a deep breath before greeting her. A shy smile on her face she affirmed.
"Debbie, it's been so long. It's good to see you."
Debbie adjusted her stance, she looked clearly uncomfortable. But she however uttered with a calm voice.
"Yeah. It's been a long time"
Lou could feel her body relax only by hearing Debbie's melodious voice.
"How have you been all these years? What have you been up to?" She declared. Lou knew this conversation was awkward, but she wanted to at least try to pretend to be casual.
