Debbie and Lou sat at a cozy table on the terrace of a restaurant, enjoying the warm summer evening.

"So, what do you think of Amita's new boyfriend?" Debbie asked, taking a sip of her wine.

Lou smiled, her eyes shining with happiness. "I think he's great for her. They seem really happy together."

Debbie nodded, a genuine smile gracing her lips. "I'm glad to see her so happy. She deserves it."

"I was thinking I should gift something to Constance for all she's done for me at the club for the past few weeks." Lou said.

Debbie smiled. "Yeah, you should."

"What do you think I should get her?" Lou asked.

"I don't know..."

Lou nodded. "I'll look for something later."

Debbie leaned in closer. "I'm sure whatever you choose, Constance will appreciate the gesture."

Lou took a sip of her wine, savoring the rich flavors. "I should get her a bottle of this wine. This wine is fantastic. ."

Debbie chuckled softly. "I knew you would enjoy it. You have a good taste in wine."

Lou raised an eyebrow playfully. "Well, I learned from the best..."

A girl approached the table and interrupted their conversation.

"Debbie, Debbie Ocean ?"

It was a cute brunette with her hair falling in soft waves around her face. Lou noticed her big green eyes, twinkling with a lively spark. Her pale skin added a delicate glow to her features, and while she wasn't very tall, there was an undeniable charm in her petite stature. Debbie looked at the brunette facing her. "Oh my god, Anna, how are you? It's been so long !" She exclaimed, pulling her into a brief hug.

Anna returned the hug. "I've been good, Debbie. It's so great to see you." Anna's face lit up with a genuine smile. " What have you been up to ?"

Debbie took a sip of her drink with a glimmer of excitement in her eyes. "Well, a lot has changed since we last saw each other. I'm finally a teacher; what about you ?"

"Same; I live in Washington, DC, now, and I'm here for the holidays."

Debbie leaned back in her chair, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "That's great to hear! ."

Anna nodded. "I always knew you'd have your degree."

Lou's brows furrowed as she observed Debbie and Anna engrossed in their conversation, leaving her feeling somewhat left out. She glanced between them, trying to make sense of their dynamic. It was clear that they had a history together, but Lou wasn't privy to the details.

Debbie's gaze shifted to Lou, her eyes filled with affection. "Oh, by the way. This is Lou, my girlfriend"

Anna's eyes widened with a pleasant surprise. "Oh, that's wonderful, Debbie! I'm so happy for you. It's great to meet you, Lou."

Lou smiled warmly, extending her hand to Anna. "It's a pleasure to meet you, too. ."

Anna's smile grew even wider as she shook Lou's hand. "You two make a lovely couple. I'm glad you found someone for you, Debbie."

An hour later as the evening came to a close, Anna stood up from the table with a warm smile on her face. "It was so wonderful catching up with both of you. We should definitely meet again sometime soon."

Debbie nodded. "Yes, of course. You still have my number ?"

Anna waved goodbye. "Yes, I do, Bye-bye. Take care."
