Angels drifted between the realms of heaven and earth, their presence transcending the boundaries of this world. Whether here or in some ethereal domain, the air was filled with the harmonious notes of a fervent love. Two souls entwined, their breaths synchronized in a rhythm of longing that knew no satiation. They moved together in a nocturnal dance, their forms gracing the surface of billowing white sheets. It was a beauty that felt almost unreal, a sweetness that bordered on the divine, a passion that resonated on the very edges of human experience. And yet, even the divine couldn't conceive a union so pure, so perfectly aligned.
The events of the previous night felt both surreal and incredibly real at the same time, her mind replaying the dream of a night she had shared with Debbie. The tenderness, the passion, the longing—everything she felt... She never wanted to wake up.
But as reality settled in, Lou noticed the emptiness beside her. It was only a dream.
Was it ?
Was it only a dream ?
When the sheets beside her were completely crumpled ?
When the smell of Debbie was everywhere in the room ?
When she still felt the brunette's lips on hers ?
When her arms were covered with bites and kisses ?
Oh, come on now! It's all just a mix of reality and wishful thinking, isn't it?
You're grasping at straws, believing in fantasies that your brain conjures up.
How naive can you be to fall for this romanticized nonsense?
So what if the sheets are crumpled? Maybe you just had a wild night of tossing and turning.
And the smell of Debbie? Maybe you're imagining it too.
As for those marks on your arms, who's to say you didn't do that to yourself?
Don't be so quick to believe in fairy tales. You're just setting yourself up for disappointment if you think last night was anything more than your imagination playing tricks on you.
It's time to face reality, Lou.
The blonde shook her head.
No.
No, it wasn't a dream.
Last night was real.
Last night was completely true and real.
She took a few minutes to gather her thoughts and try to remember last night from the beginning.
And it hit her.
She walked quickly towards the bathroom to gaze at her own reflection. Her body was full of hickeys at places she possibly couldn't have done it herself. And now she remembered;
It wasn't a dream.

After a quick shower, Lou decided to go down to the hotel to grab breakfast. Still not ready to face her emotions, it was too complex, too weird, and too unreal for her to face them with her stomach empty. Plus, she already missed Debbie. There was so much she wanted to ask her and tell her. And now that she knew Debbie had made love to her, she knew the answers to her question had to be different from what she had imagined.
As she entered the breakfast area, she couldn't help but notice the familiar faces of the hotel staff and the other guests. It felt different being there now, knowing that Debbie was also somewhere in the same hotel. She wondered if she would run into her, but she decided to let things unfold naturally, not wanting to force anything, for now.
