"Debbie, wait!" Lou called out, rushing to open the door as she noticed Debbie making her way into the corridor.
"What's wrong, Lou?" Debbie asked, her voice filled with concern.
"You can't go outside with bare legs like that, it's too cold. I'm going to give you something," Lou insisted, determined to take care of Debbie.
"No, it's fine, Lou. I'll be okay," Debbie protested, but Lou wouldn't hear of it.
"I insist," Lou replied firmly, holding the door open wide for Debbie. "Come in, Deb. You can change into something warmer, and you can give me my clothes back later."
Debbie hesitated for a moment before finally giving in to Lou's insistence. She stepped inside the apartment, grateful for Lou's thoughtfulness and the opportunity to avoid the chilly weather outside.
Inside the apartment, Lou guided Debbie towards the bedroom, where she had a drawer filled with warm clothes. She gestured towards it.
"Here, this should do the trick," Lou said. "Take your time and change into these. They're much warmer than what you were wearing."
Debbie nodded and entered the bedroom, closing the door behind her. Lou stood outside, giving her some privacy..
After a few moments, Debbie emerged from the bedroom, now dressed in the warm clothes Lou had provided. Lou smiled, a mixture of relief and affection in her eyes.
"Feeling better?" Lou asked, trying to keep her tone casual.
Debbie nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Much better, thanks to you."
Lou's heart fluttered at the gratitude in Debbie's voice. She wanted to reach out, to hold her, but knew that now wasn't the right time.
"Good," Lou replied, a hint of warmth in her voice.
A heavy silence descended upon the room. Their eyes met, the unspoken desires and longing simmering just beneath the surface. Lou's heart pounded in her chest as she gazed into Debbie's eyes, the air thick with unspoken words. Unable to resist the magnetic pull between them any longer, she closed the distance between their lips.
Their mouths met in a soft, gentle kiss.T he world around them faded away as their lips moved in perfect sync, a delicate dance of desire and affection.
Lou's hands instinctively found their way to Debbie's waist, pulling her closer, while Debbie's fingers lightly brushed against Lou's cheek, sending shivers down her spine. They lost themselves in the moment, their mouths moving with a rhythm that conveyed a depth of emotion words could never capture.
"Lou ?" Said Debbie.
Lou blinked, snapping back to reality as she realized she had been lost in her own thoughts. A faint blush colored her cheeks as she met Debbie's gaze, feeling a mix of embarrassment and anticipation.
"Sorry, Deb," she muttered, sheepishly rubbing the back of her neck. "I must have gotten lost in my own little world there."
Debbie chuckled softly, a playful glimmer in her eyes. "Must have been quite the daydream."
Lou's lips curved into a shy smile. "Yeah, it was."

As Debbie entered her empty apartment, the quietness enveloped her, contrasting with the whirlwind of emotions that stirred inside her. She found herself standing by the window, gazing out at the city lights, lost in her thoughts.
The night was still young, but her heart felt like it had aged a lifetime. Debbie couldn't deny the undeniable pull she felt towards Lou, the way their connection seemed to defy logic and reason. But she also couldn't ignore the lingering doubts and fears that whispered in the back of her mind.
