The crackling sound of the fireplace echoed through the cozy Christmas chalet, adorned with festive decorations and the delightful scent of pine. Lou, Debbie, and little Danny were busy unpacking boxes of ornaments, strings of lights, and a collection of mismatched stockings. Tammy, the self-proclaimed queen of holiday cooking, was orchestrating a culinary symphony in the kitchen, where pots clanged, and the aroma of gingerbread wafted through the air.

As Debbie hung a mistletoe strategically in the doorway, she couldn't help but tease Lou, "You know the rules, babe. Anyone caught underneath has to kiss."

Lou chuckled, feigning innocence, "Oh, is that how it works? Well, let's hope Tammy and Tom don't accidentally find themselves under there. It could get awkward."

Tammy, overhearing the banter from the kitchen, playfully called out, "Oh, don't worry. Tom and I have mastered the art of 'accidental' mistletoe encounters."

Nine, lounging on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa, joined in with a mischievous grin. "Tammy, when are you officially going to date this guy ? You've been seeing him for three years... spent many Christmases with him, you invited him to the wedding...and still you guys are not dating ? I have to say it is weird"

"Well, maybe tonight they will finally stop pretending." Whispered Constance.

"Could you help in the kitchen instead of gossiping about something that is none of your business." Tammy mumbled.

Danny was enthusiastically sorting through a box of ornaments, her eyes lighting up as she discovered a particularly colorful one. "Mom, can we put this unicorn right in the center of the tree? It's like a Christmas unicorn!"

Lou couldn't resist Danny's infectious enthusiasm. "Absolutely, sweetheart. The Christmas unicorn deserves a place of honor."

Amita and Rose, armed with strings of garland, entered the room with theatrical flair. "Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la!" they sang, their voices rising in unison. Amita, following behind with a tray of freshly baked cookies, added, "I come bearing gifts of sugary goodness. The true spirit of Christmas!"

As they all gathered around the table for a momentary break, Tammy presented her latest creation—a gingerbread house that looked suspiciously more like a gingerbread shack. "I present to you, the humble abode of gingerbread simplicity. It's rustic, like this chalet."

Nine, examining the gingerbread structure with a critical eye, quipped, "Did you poison it ?"

"Why is it green? You know it's supposed to be brown or at least orange ?" Added Constance.

"I just followed the recipe."

"Made by whom ?" Lou looked confused at Debbie, who was stopping herself from laughing.

"So no one is going to drink it ?" Pouted Tammy.

"I will !"

Everybody turned toward Danny.

"No, sweetie, there is alcohol in this. You can't drink it."

"Okay... I will, I'm sure it's good, guys."Amita whispered with a smile.

Everybody turned their attention toward Amita.

"So ?"

"It's good, actually, despite this weird color, it's really delicious.."

The room erupted in laughter as Amita took another sip, determined to enjoy the unconventional gingerbread drink. Tammy, slightly offended but mostly amused, declared, "Well, who needs a classic gingerbread house when you can have a revolutionary gingerbread shake? It's the taste of Christmas rebellion."
