"This is gonna hurt. Much worse than Sam's did." Cas warns and I nod, ready.

He puts his hand on my forehead and pain explodes through my entire body. Every nerve ending feels like it's on fire, the pain is more than I have ever imagined or gone through. My vision goes black and then white and then red, blood feels like it's dripping behind my eyelids.

My throat is soar but no sound is coming out of it. My body feels as if it's attempting to convulse while trapped in a marble statue. The pain has nowhere to go but inward, repeating over and over on an endless loop.

I fall into someone's arms and take a few deep breaths once it's all over. It takes a minute for vision to return, along with everything else.

For a second I think it's Jett holding me up. But Dean's voice smoothly cuts through the air, sending comforting waves of energy into me.

"I got you." He says as I slowly regain my strength.

I slowly sit up and make my way to the bed with Dean's help. I lay down, exhausted and see Cas standing over me with a worried look.

"You'll be quite weak for a few hours." He warns.

"At least I won't feel insane anymore." I scoff and Dean chuckles lightly.

"It's up to you for the memories to emerge. You have the physical side of the memories back, but...the visual and everything else, you need to be willing for them to come." Cas explains and I gulp.

"Great." I mutter wishing it was easier than this.

"I'll leave you two alone." Cas says then disappears.

"Fuck, and to think all this time I just thought they were nightmares." I scoff and shake my head.

"Confusing as fuck I bet." Dean scoffs trying to make me laugh and it works.

"Yeah, they definitely were. But once I caught the wendigo-."

"I'm sorry, what?" He asks.

"It was a case I was on. Women were going missing in the woods. They thought it was a bear." I give him the short version.

"How did you know what to do or what it was?" He asks.

"Old guy's parents were killed by it...he told me the story. Everyone called him Crazy Sam. Even got a scar from it." I explain.

"The team was there?" He asks.

"Gibbs was with me in the woods along with a ranger. Tried to get him to stay at camp but, stubborn bastard wouldn't listen and got himself killed. We got to the truck and I remembered what the guy told me. The creature was afraid of fire." I continue.

"So how'd you find it?" Dean asks.

"Played bait. Got taken by it, barbecued it like a barbecue smoke house." I chuckle and he laughs.

"Didn't leave unscathed though. Got a nice new scar on my back from the motherfucker." I huff and show him.

"Damn." Dean comments.

My phone rings after a minute and I know who it is.

"Can you answer that for me?" I ask, wanting to make Dean second guess his own sanity.

"Yeah, sure." He says and takes the phone.

"Leave your name and nightmare-." He says with a smirk and then his eyes go wide.

"Uh, who is this?" He asks and his mouth is agape.

"Yeah, she's right here." He says and hands me the phone and I doing my best not to crack up.
