"What happened to your neck?" Shawn asks about the burn mark.

"Oh, got a bit wasted and asked a tattoo artist to burn it on." I shrug as if it's no big deal.

He pours me a bowl of cereal as I get the milk for I'm the fridge. Keating is in her office, getting ready for her lecture. She hasn't told Shawn about last night yet and I'm not gonna be the one to bring it up.

"You should probably get it checked out." Shawn speaks up.

"Huh?" I ask as I pour the milk.

"Your uh, smiley face." He says pointing to my neck.

"Oh, yeah, I'll get some cream for it or something." I shrug, trying not to think about it too much.

Keating leaves without saying goodbye and Shawn just glances at me as I finish my cereal.

"I have two hours." He casually mentions.

"Works for me." I say and we head upstairs.

—————

My phone goes off and I huff when I see that it's Keating.

"Let me guess, a new client?" Shawn asks.

"Guess we'll find out." I say and answer the phone.

"Hello?" I ask as I sit up.

"Wes wasn't in class today." Keating starts out.

"Maybe he needed some space-."

"The statue was in his seat." She finishes.

"What do you want me to do about it? I can't exactly go anywhere with this thing on my ankle." I remind her.

"He seems to trust you-."

"I put a knife to his throat and threatened to slit him ear to ear." I scoff and Shawn looks at me confused but I put my hand up to tell him give me a minute.

"Anyway, that's not the only reason I called. I have a new client." She sighs.

"21 years ago when I was just a law student there was a local man, David Allen who was put on trial for the murder of his girlfriend, Trisha Stanley." She starts saying and I can tell she's on speaker phone and I hang up bored.

"What was that about?" Shawn asks.

"Ask Keating when she gets back, which is gonna be soon. So, I need to get cleaned up and dressed and you need to do the same, in your room." I say as I kick him out of mine.

I get washed up and dressed as does he and it's as if none of this ever happened. I head downstairs only to watch meating storm into the house looking for me.

"Did you seriously hang up on me?" She asks.

"Yeah, I got bored." I shrug as I sit on the couch.

"Just because you are confined to this house does not mean you do not contribute to the group." She scolds, clearly stressed about Wes not being in class today.

"Go in my office, I'll meet you there shortly to catch you up." She orders and I huff and get up.

"Yes Ma'am." I say sarcastically and head to her study.
