I wake up and head to the studio with Ellison. I see Yanko and he smiles and nods at me. I walk down the hall and hear a familiar southern voice talking to someone. It's the girl in the video I watched on one of the computers in an office. I knew they're in charge of searching for possible stories to share on the station, so I gave them one.
"Oh, and by the way, I'm Mia Jordan, I'm gonna be your segment producer. Bradley. It's nice to meet you." The woman next to the girl from the video says.
Bradley has almost auburn colored hair, going down over her shoulders. She's wearing a black blazer with a maroon button down shirt underneath. She has a hillbilly twang in her voice and she seems down to earth. In other words, she's gonna annoy the crap out of Alex.
Mia shows Bradley to a dressing room and I head to the kitchen to get Ellison his coffee.
"Sorry for yesterday, I thought Alex had left. She's a bit particular about her chair." Yanko apologizes as he gets his own coffee.
"I noticed." I scoff and he smirks.
"I heard we have a guest coming on the show. Another news personel." He changes the subject.
"Yeah, I saw the video. This reporter yelling facts about coal at a civilian. It was...entertaining to watch." I admit.
"I saw it too. It's refreshing to see someone who actually knows what their talking about." He agrees.
"I should get this to Ellison." I say and get the coffee.
"See you around." He says with a small smirk and I nod.
I get back to Ellison and get him his coffee. He shows me the sound room where the magic happens behind the cameras. There's people who give tips to the hosts, others who control what's being shown on the screen and some people who control sound.
The show starts and Bradley and Alex sit in the talk show section of the studio. The one with two matching blue arm rest chairs in front of a screen. I take a sip of my coffee, definitely feeling how much I did yesterday in my body.
Alex introduces the audience to Bradley and starts asking her some questions. They show the viral video and Bradley looks mildly uncomfortable. I can't help but silently chuckle at how she screams in the video about how she's so exhausted of everything.
"I like her." I shrug and Ellison glances at me and I know I've planted the seed.
"Life in general is just sort of exhausting." Bradley explains after Alex asks her why she was so exhausted in that video.
"But, as you know, we reporters, we see the way the world works, and sometimes you just want to get in there and educate people and stop them from constantly going in circles with their ideas. I mean, It's just so frustrating. It's sad." Bradley continues and I can see why people liked her so much.
