I get off the jet and start walking towards the car.

"Someone's on a mission." I hear Shepherd scoff and running up behind me.

"I have to prove this one isn't connected." I say as I get in the car.

"What if it is connected?" He counters.

"It's not."

"But what if it is?" He asks in his arrogant tone and I look over at him and narrow my eyes.

"I'm just saying, you should keep an open mind." He explains.

"Oh trust me. I am." I mutter thinking about how this is most likely the work of vampires.

That's the reason I only brought one other person with me on this endeavor. The last thing I need is to protect a whole group of people from who knows what. If it's just DS and I, it's easier to keep tabs on him.

"Head to the morgue and talk with the ME. I'm gonna go look at the house and the site where they found the body." I tell him.

"I'll call you about what I find." He nods and we go our separate ways.

Hotch made me promise that I would work, and that's exactly what I plan on doing. I'm too stressed about someone out there parading around as me, to have to think about the supernatural world for too long.

Dean probably thinks I'm avoiding him, and in part, I am. I need to stay focused and that world, his world, keeps me anything but.

I head to the victim's place and look around. Everything looks like it's where the victim probably left it, nothing looks as if it was rummaged through. He was single, no kids, only child. Perfect for Jett's type of work.

"May I help you?" A man asks and I show him my FBI badge.

"Carry on." He clears his throat and leaves, making me think it was the landlord.

I finish up looking around his apartment and don't find anything of his former life. I even checked for all the secret hidden holes people like him usually have to hide it all. He seems to have completely wiped out that past, and went into true retirement.

I leave the apartment and walk down the street, noticing it's starting to get dark out. DS calls me and tells me he went to the hotel to go over the medical findings. I let him know I'm still canvassing the area, asking some people if they know anything about the victim.

I hear a loud commotion coming from the square and can't help myself and quietly walk towards it. I found the corner and watch in horror as a man slits a woman's throat in front of an audience. Some woman are balling out their eyes out of grief as others cheer and shout. I'm just completely confused as to how this is being allowed.

Then it hits me. These aren't humans. The tall dark and handsome man who killed the woman, starts making a speech about how witches are not allowed to practice magic here, and that the price is death.

"And who might you be?" I hear a voice from behind me as I start backing away only to realize I've been spotted.

"Someone you want to walk away from." I warn, not bothering with turning around.

"Marcel, looks like we got some company!" The vampire shouts and the crowd looks over at me.

In a blink of an eye the man with a dark complexion is in front of me. I blink rapidly, trying to figure out how he moved so fast. The man looks me up and down and smiles.

"I just love it when food is delivered." He chuckles and I just stare him in the eyes, not showing him any fear.

"What's your name?" He asks looking into my eyes with a curiosity in his.
