Charlotte"Charlie, get your ass up." I groaned as I tried to ignore the constant tapping on my shoulder. I didnt need to check the time to know it was early. Ros is always up early. Too early for my liking. "Charlotte." She said again. "Yes?" I grunted. I popped my head out from under the covers and began to sit up in the bed. I ran my hands over my face. Ros was standing at the dresser putting earrings in when she looked back at me. "Good morning honey." She said smiling. "Mmhmm. Why are you up so early? It's Saturday." I asked as I yawned. Her face dropped as she looked at me. "Seriously?" I smiled. "Happy prom day love." She rolled her eyes playfully. "Im leaving soon." She walked over and into the closet looking for a pair of shoes I presume. She was wearing a pretty light blue sundress that stopped at her ankles with a blue and black flannel. "Theres a kettle on the stove for your tea." She said as she immersed from the closet. "You're on your own with breakfast though." I sighed dramatically. "What ever will I do. How will I manage." I fell over. "Ha ha. Very funny. What time are you leaving?" She came over and stood near the bed. "I dont know. I'll call Abby in a bit." She nodded. "Well. I should be done by five. So make sure you're out of the house." I nodded. "And I'll be here at 6:30. I can't wait to see you." She smiled. "I can't wait to see you either." She leaned in and kissed me. "Eat something before you leave baby. Have a good day." She kissed me once more. "Have fun getting all dolled up." I yelled behind her. As soon as I heard the door close I fell over on the bed and went back to sleep.
The sound of the doorbell ringing woke me up. My eyes popped open and I slowly sat up. The bell rang again and I hopped off the bed and slid on my slippers exiting the bedroom. Yawning as I walked down the stairs I checked the peephole before opening the door. "Hey there, sunshine." Abby said as she made her way into the house, pushing past me. "Hey Abby." I mumbled. She turned to look at me as I closed the door. "Were you really still asleep?" I shrugged, walking around her heading to the kitchen. "Possibly." I went to the stove to turn on the pot of water Ros left out for me, noticing she left my tea bags out also. Abby sat at the island. "Well, we have a lot of shit to get done so chop chop!" I raised a brow at her. "We? A lot of shit? I literally just have to curl my hair and get dressed." She laughed. "Uhhh fuck no. You have to get your make up done too. Maybe a pedi and... definitely a mani." She said eyeing me as I stood there biting my nails. I stopped and dropped my hand. The kettle whistled and I turned around to pour the water into my cup. "Liz said I need to get her a corsage." She looked at me. "A corsage? Hmm. I didn't know people still did that." I nodded, "Yeah me neither. But I have to find one." I sighed. I feel like there's a lot of things I need to get accomplished but everything is just jumbled in my mind. I just know everything needs to go so perfectly tonight. "Okay, let me have breakfast first, I need a shower also then we can go." I rummaged through the refrigerator and decided on a yogurt parfait. I took a seat at the island next to Abby.
I got out of the shower and threw on an oversized tshirt and a pair of shorts. I threw my hair up into a bun and slid on my tennis shoes. I grabbed the bag I got together before my shower containing a change of under garments that I would be wearing tonight. I grabbed my phone and left the bedroom. "Alrighty. Let's go." I said to Abby once I reached the bottom of the stairs. We left out and I locked the door behind us, sending a quick text to Ros letting her know I was leaving. "So what should we do first?" I asked as we pulled out of the driveway. "I think nails. That'll probably take a minute. Then we need go pick up your suit, I gotta go to the mall to find a new necklace, find this corsage thing and then we can go to my house. I'll do your hair and makeup before mine and we can get dressed together and dance around maybe take a shot or two and sing at the top of our lungs I Dont Wanna Miss A Thing!" I laughed at her. "We do love that song, right?" She laughed. "Fuck yes! We're gonna have so much fun, I cant wait."
