I'VE SEARCHED THE cosmos for you. Every human being I've come across has never been as great as you. You are my soulmate in every universe. So, when you died, I didn't know how to handle it.

I buried myself in books— studying and experimenting ways to get to you. It wasn't going well until someone made a mistake. The perfect one. It allowed me to excel to the top and recruit a lot of spider people so I could finally find a universe I could spend my time with you again. Like you never died.

It had to be perfect, though. A way for the universe to stay intact all the while we fall in love.

It's been years and not once have I been able to find the perfect chance to meet you. Meet you again.

"Another mission, Miguel," Lyla sits on the desk next to me as she suddenly appears, pointing to my inter dimensional bracelet that allows me to travel through every universe, "You up for it?"

I slightly turn my head, "Do I have a choice?"

"Not really, no," she shrugs, "Earth-4371."

I walk over slightly to the bracelet and slide it on my wrist. I input the Earth and immediately a portal opens.

"Remember to smile!" Lyla calls as I enter. I roll my eyes and look at the mess the scene is. We were in Paris right at the infamous Eiffel Tower.

As I look up, I see a spider-woman fighting the anomaly. I watch to see when the perfect moment to come up is.

A few seconds later, she begins to fall to the ground. I swing over quickly and catch her before she falls, setting her down gently.

I look up and begin to fight him.

"Hey, who are you?!" I hear the woman call as she swings.

I ignore her as I throw punches at the villain as he continues to fly around the Eiffel Tower.

"Hey, I'm talking to you!" She yells as she jumps on the flying villain, "Who are you?"

"I'm kind of busy here!" I yell over the commotion.

The spider-woman wraps her arms around his neck and shoots a web to the top of the tower. I use the moment to jump and slam him into the ground.

The villain groans, his eyes shut. I pick him up and web him to the floor. The woman jumps to the ground and crosses her arms.

I glance at her before looking back down.

"Lyla," I press the ear piece, "Send this guy home."

"Gotcha, boss," she says before a portal opened and he was brought inside.

"Will you answer my question now?" The woman asks, "Who are you?"

"Isn't it obvious?" I shrug.

"I think I'd like to hear it from you before jumping to conclusions."

"I'm Spider-Man," I finally say, putting an end to the banter, "I'm from a different world."

"Huh," she nods her head, "I was gonna say that."

"That's funny."

"So, is everything done here?" She asks me, ignoring my comment, "You know, since your here, I could get you a crepe. Famous here in France."

I look at her, "I'm not here to make friends."

"Hey," she puts her hands up, "I didn't say you were. I just think it's interesting how I'm not the only Spider person out there."

I sigh. I would usually say no, but something tells me to stay.

"Fine."

I could see the outline of a smile in her mask. She directs me to the nearest stand. She orders two crepes and hands me one.
