GETTING READY, I paced around my apartment nervously. It was 5:30PM and I had already gotten ready, making sure to look nice, but not over-the-top. I figured Miguel was the type to be early, so I knew if that was the case, I had to do everything before he arrived.

Sighing, I grab my purse, making sure I had enough money to buy things for Miguel and maybe some stuff for me.

I look up, seeing how the apartment was smothered by Christmas decorations. More wouldn't hurt.

Then, the door rang.

Taking a deep breath, I adjusted my sweater and my skirt before making sure my makeup was good in the mirror next to the door.

I took a deep breath before opening the door. I smiled as I saw him, my heart fluttering.

"Hey, Y/N," he smiled back, checking me out quickly, "You ready?"

"Yeah," I nodded. I went to the couch and grabbed my purse and my coat.

I then went back, closing the door behind me as I now stood next to Miguel. I smiled at him again, heat rising to my cheeks.

He smiled back, chuckling. "So, how was the rest of your day?"

"It was good," I nodded, telling him as we walked down the stairs towards the entrance, "One of my professors wouldn't give me an advance on the lessons though, so that sucks."

He frowned slightly, "Who? Maybe I know them."

He pushed the door open for me as we walked out the building. I thanked him.

"Professor Kincaid," I then told him before I looked up at him, "—But don't tell him. I'm sure I can catch up."

He sighed, pursing his lips, "You're going to be gone for two weeks, Y/N, you'll need those lessons."

"No," I shook my head, looking up at him with pleading eyes, "It's only two lessons. I'll just ask someone for the notes."

He sighed as we arrived to his car. He opened the door for me.

"Fine," he said, "I won't ask."

I relieved smile adorns my face. "Thank you, Miguel."

He smiled back and gently closed the door. He then got on his side, starting the car as we headed to the mall.

Once we arrived, we both walked side by side into the mall. I marveled at all the Christmas decorations, along with the giant tree that was in the middle of the mall.

I could feel his eyes on me, but I pretended not to notice.

I then looked up at him, "Okay, we should get started. I know this one store here that sells the perfect decorations."

"Not too much," he warned, reminding me.

"Sure, sure," I playfully rolled my eyes.

I took his hand and moved in front of him, a smile on my face as I tried to ignore the pounding in my heart.

"Come on," I chuckled, "Before they're all gone."

I could see a faint blush on his cheeks before he agreed. I dragged him up all the way towards the store, where I threw in a bunch of decorations to our small basket I think would be cute for him.

We didn't let go of each others hands until we arrived at the register. I got out my money, sifting through my purse.

He furrowed his eyebrows as he took out his card, "What are you doing?"

I look up at him and then at his card, "What are you doing?"

"I'm paying," he told me, inserting his card into the reader.
