TWO MONTHS LATER
— MIGUEL

I've tried. I've tried everything to wake her up. Everything except for one thing. If I did this, she could never know. Ever.

"Do you understand?" I continue as I turn towards the spider people who were in the infirmary with me, "She can never know."

It was early in the morning, almost 4:00AM. I had specially said that we needed to meet around this time so I knew she wouldn't hear what I needed to say.

"I'll be in charge of administering the drug after she gets better," I told them as I looked down, "If I were ever not able to, you never give her more than a gram of rupture, okay? Never let her find out."

I look to all of them.

"Do you understand me?"

They don't speak.

"Do you understand me?" I say louder, expecting a response.

All of them begin to nod and say yes. I look to one of the Spider-Man, her doctor, and nod. He takes the needle of rupture and slowly injects it into her body. It was enough to keep her alive, but not enough to get her back on it or for her to notice it's in her system. To her knowledge, she's clean.

"We should expect her to be awake in a few hours," he slowly retracts the needle as everything was injected, "She should okay by then."

I look down at her as she slept peacefully. I moved a piece of hair from her face, running my thumb over her skin.

I hope so.

Y/N

Bright.

It's so bright.

Groaning, I raised my hands to my eyes.

Wait.

My eyes widened as I opened my eyes and looked at myself, moving my arms in front of me. I instantly sit up, chuckling in shock as I pat myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

Looking to the side, I see Miguel sleeping, a blanket Peter probably put on him. I chuckle before I remove my IV. I then try and stand up, but ended up falling to the ground.

I furrowed my eyebrows and tried to stand up and walk, but I only continued to fall to the ground.

How long was I out?

"Y/N?"

I look up, hearing the voice. I smile at him and he immediately comes to my aid, picking me up and placing me back on the bed. He engulfed me in a tight hug, putting my head on his shoulder.

"Dios, I missed you."

I hug him back tight. "How long has it been?"

Miguel carefully released me from his grip. Before answering, he put his lips on mine as if it were years.

Please don't have let it been years.

I kiss him back with the same passion he gave me up until he pulled away carefully.

"You've been over two months," he answered.

My eyebrows raise in surprise. "I could hear you for the first few days but then it just got dark and quiet. It felt like I was sleeping but also awake."

"Well, you're awake now," he smiled, rubbing his thumb over my cheek, "You're going to be okay. We're going to live our lives normal again."

"Somewhat normal," I corrected him, reminding him that we were still spider people.

He chuckled. "Right."

I smiled up at him and hugged him tight.

It was quiet in my head. There was no p̴̧̢͚̤̺͓̞̫͗̿̈́́͑ͅȧ̷̢̡̯͖͇͈͎i̷̺̞̺͖̫̳̩̥͖͝ͅñ̶͕̥̦͈͇̫̝͑̎̊̓̅̚̕.

Wait, what?

ₕₑₗₗₒ?

I pulled back and smiled up at him, ignoring whatever what was going on in my head.

"So, am I healed?" I look up at him, "I'm not on it anymore.?"

Miguel looked at me for a second before shaking his head. "You're good. You'll always be good."

I nodded and took a deep breath. A chapter of my life finally over. As the next few minutes continued, Miguel helped me up to greet the rest of the team now that I had woken up.

It's finally over. I don't need any more. Ever.

Right?
