I'M FREAKING OUT. Genuinely, completely freaking out. I've been so blind for the past few years, because the one time I flirted with Miguel, it ended up with me on the bathroom counter taking in huge gusts of air after he ate me out.
I didn't even get to do anything for him, so now I'm afraid I won't live up to his performance. What if he's disappointed? What if he never talks to me again?
I've been contemplating whether or not I should go inside of his house for the past hour. I'm right outside, standing at the door, staring into nothingness.
As a spider person, I should maintain equanimity during situations that cause me stress, but apparently my brain's determined to keep me worried.
"I've gotta say, that's a record for how long I've seen a living person remain still," a deep voice scares the hell out of me.
I jump up, my hand on my heart as I turn around immediately, pressing my back against the door. As I try to catch my breath, I wonder one thing.
Why didn't my spider sense go off?
I soon come to my answer when I see the man that shocked me.
Miguel.
He steps out of the shadows, his towering figure once again sending shivers down my spine. He looks down at me with a stoic— but sexy look.
I clear my throat, taking a deep breath. I clutch my purse tight, my heart rate erratic. "You scared me."
He smiles, part of the shadow covering half his face again as his dark hair frames his face perfectly. "I did, didn't I?"
I read his eyes, and roll mine as I know he's come to the realization that I feel safe around him and that's why I was able to be scared.
With a spider sense, very few things are able to catch me by surprise. The things that do are usually the things that I love.
And I love Miguel.
I bite the inside of my cheek and lean on one hip. I raise my hand, my finger tracing his cheekbones. "You're full of surprises, Migs."
He chuckles lowly, his arms wrapping around my waist. "Yeah?"
I nod. "Mm-hm."
"How so?" He whispers.
I shrug, my fingers moving to tracing his nose then down to his lips. "I never thought you'd be into me."
He narrows his eyes, a small smile adorning his face. He tilts his head. "You didn't notice how different I act around you?"
"Nope," I chuckle, tracing his jaw now. "In case you haven't noticed, I'm really into you. I was so heavily involved with myself and trying to be perfect around you that I didn't notice the idiosyncrasies that were apparently particular only to me."
He connects his forehead to mine, closing his eyes. "I don't blame you. I'm usually vitriolic to everyone."
He opens his eyes, my lips so close to his.
"Everyone except you."
"Hm, I don't think you're vitriolic," I press my lips to his so lightly, it was almost impossible to feel if his lips were actually on mine. "Maybe taciturn, but not vitriolic... I like that about you, you know?"
"You do?" His voice was barely above a whisper.
"Yes," I press another soft kiss to his lips, "You're very special to me. And I love everything about you"
I move in to press another light kiss to his lips, but he beats me to it. He kisses me lightly and slowly at first before becoming firm, that it almost drives me mad because of how good of a kisser he is.
