Zepar above.
"Shit." Zepar muttered and bolted. Leo chased after him, catching his leg and tripping him. Zepar fell with a loud noise but rolled over to try and kick Leo. Leo was too quick, dodging him and pinning him to the ground.
"Who sent you?" Leo yelled baring his teeth. He was holding up a long silver blade. I had no idea where he got it.
Zepar laughed. He spat blood on Leo's face. "I don't have to tell you shit."
"Then I will kill you." Leo was about to plunge the knife into Zepar's chest before I shouted.
"Wait!"
Both of their heads snapped to look at me.
"Why are you trying to kill him? I can just call the cops. Problem solved. No murder needs to be committed here." I said, pulling my phone out of my pocket, ready to dial.
"That's what you don't understand, Liz. This isn't murder if he's already dead." Leo said. His arm moved in a stabbing motion again.
"No!" I shouted but it was too late. Leo's blade plunged through Zepar's chest and his entire body turned to ash. Leo dusted himself off and stood up.
"What... what the hell just happened? He... I... you..." I couldn't think straight. Was I imagining all of this? There's no way that this actually happened.
"This has Felicity's name written all over it," Leo muttered to himself.
"Who's Felicity? What is going on?"
"Felicity is Jeremy's psycho ex-girlfriend, and you just witnessed the death of a demon."
"What the hell are you talking about? His ex-girlfriend is out to get me? Demons? And why? Why did you kill him?" I pointed to the pile of ash. I was starting to feel sick. There was no way any of this was actually happening.
"Calm down, Liz. Everything is ok." He walked slowly towards me as if approaching a scared animal.
"No. It's not ok! You fucking killed someone and acted like it was nothing!"
"He was a bad guy. Besides, no one would notice."
"Every girl in the school would notice. Have you seen how popular he is?"
Leo winced. "Look, he is basically a trained assassin. Girls on the side are what he is known for, but he came here for a mission and that happened to be getting at you."
"How did he even get into my house? It doesn't make any sense."
"You invited him in."
"What?"
"We have to be invited in. We can't just enter a house. In a way that's how we stay proper to the rules."
"We?"
Leo sighed. "Yes, we. Now stop asking questions and call Jeremy and Blake over."
"Why?"
"Just do it!" He yelled.
I quickly dialed Jeremy and he answered on the third ring.
"Hello?"
"Jeremy, your brother has gone a wall. Please come over now."
"What did he do? Did he touch you? I swear I will kill him. I'll-"
"Jeremy... please... now." I hung up the phone then dialed Blake.
He answered quickly as well.
"I was just about to call you." I could hear his grin through the phone.
