Zach above.
We all piled into the car and waved goodbye the Rem and Sophia. They decided to stay behind to do more research.
Since Larson knew where the party was, he drove. The guys all wore nice tuxes while Shelby wore a slim purple dress and Karli wore a red. I wore I long flowy black dress. We all had our masquerade masks in hand and ready to put them on. Since it was a masquerade party, you weren't allowed in if you weren't wearing a mask.
It took us a good 20 minutes to arrive and get settled in.
People were walking up a grand marble staircase to a shiny white mansion with pillars and archways. Unfortunately, I couldn't see anyone's face because everyone was wearing masks so I couldn't tell if we were walking into an ambush or if Athena was actually there.
When we finally got inside, the first room was huge. It had a DJ, dance floor, and a table with fancy foods and beverages. The room could easily fit several hundred people.
Larson linked arms with me and strolled to the center of the dance floor. Blake and Shelby danced close by as well as Jeremy and Karli.
We danced for about an hour, looking for people as the DJ blared the music and the chandelier shook with rhythm.
I pulled Larson over to the side to take a break and really scope out the people. He was talking nonsense to me about how this was supposed to be fun when I happened to look across the room. There, standing by the punch bowl was a girl around my age. Her crystal blue eyes locked with mine.
Suddenly, it's as if we connected.
"I found her." I whispered, interrupting Larson's rant. It's not like I was listening to it anyways.
"Found who? Athena?" Larson asked, craning his neck and looking around.
"Where's Blake?" I stood on my tiptoes looking for him. I wasn't sure why, but I had to introduce Athena to him. I just had a feeling there was a connection there of some sort.
I glanced back to the girl and she was whispering in a tall blonde boy's ear. He nodded to her and they moved from the punch bowl.
I turned to Larson. He'd spotted Blake and motioned him over. I grabbed Larson's hand and moved towards Blake, grabbing him as well and pulling him along with me. Larson squeezed my hand in his. He was nervous for me but excited.
By the time we reached the punch bowl. The girl wasn't there.
"What is it now, Liz? You decided you want a threesome?" Blake smirked. "Because we literally just had that talk about Shelby and-"
"No. It's not that." I looked around. "I thought I saw someone I knew."
The tall blonde boy appeared behind several people, walking towards us and taking off his mask so he could properly look at us.
"Are you sure, Liz? I mean, what are the chances-" Larson began.
"Zach?" I said confused, taking off my mask.
"What?" Blake and Larson said in unison and followed my gaze to the blonde boy who stopped right in front of us.
"Hello, stranger." Zach grinned. "I missed you!" He pulled me into a hug.
Blake and Larson looked at each other confused.
"How are you?" I hugged him back.
"Better now that I found you." He grinned and stepped aside to reveal the girl I saw earlier. "Artemis, I gladly present to you, your long lost sister, Athena."
