Blake above.
"And what... we're just supposed to believe this information fell into your lap..." Shelby said skeptically.
"You have to trust me. I just know, ok." Jeremy said.
We had everyone in the living room. We were prepping for our next step. We had been sitting ducks for a week and it was time to move on elsewhere. Rem whispered something to Poseidon. He nodded.
"Look, I think it's best we follow Jeremy's advice. He can read minds after all. He's been trustworthy to Artemis as well as several of the other gods that we are closely allied with. What is there to doubt?"
"I mean we trusted Leo and look where that got us," Becks said.
"For the hundredth time, I told you that I'm a double agent. And why are you even here? You're just dead weight." Leo growled at her.
"Woah. Damn ok, let's just all cool off. We are on the same side." I said.
"Look, Leo's right. Mortals shouldn't be here. It's getting really dangerous. They can only do so much." Poseidon said.
"But Shelby and Becks have been a big help!" Blake said. "They do pull their own weight. They freakin fought in battle with us."
"I'm sorry Blake, but I have to agree with Leo. I was protecting them most of the time instead of fighting." Michael said. Then he turned to Shelby and Becks. "You guys are great though but I'm... a warrior so... defending is a bit weird for me."
"Don't worry, I get it," Shelby said.
"Um. I don't. The second we go back home, we are dead. They know who we are now. We sort of have to stay and fight." Becks said.
"We might be able to arrange Raguel or other trustworthy demons to watch over you. Maybe even Hades himself." Leo started but Becks interrupted.
"MIGHT? No. No fucking 'might.' If I'm going to die, it's going to be fighting with you all. Right, Liz." Becks said.
Everyone turned to me. I stood there wide-eyed. "Oh... um yes, it would be nice to have you here... but I just feel like you would be safer at home."
Becks looked betrayed. Shelby didn't seem to shocked by what I said.
"I understand that you lost your mortal mother and brother, and I see why you want us as far away from here as possible... but we really can help," Shelby said.
"How?" Rem countered.
"Well, I know how to use a gun?" Shelby said.
"I'm sorry but I think we need to put you girls in a safe space for your own protection. The more mortal you are, the easier it is for Gabriel to manipulate you." Poseidon said.
Shelby's face dropped. She knew he was right. Becks sighed in defeat.

After we sent them off on a plane, Blake moped around the house a bit.
"That was a bit unfair, guys." He said.
Athena sighed. "I know, but we are trying to protect them by not involving them in this."
Blake sighed and sat down next to her, resting his head on her shoulder.
"We need to break up." He said.
"I know." She sated back. Everyone who was still in the room looked at each other like 'what the fuck? Why is this break up so calm?'
Jeremy sipped his tea and read a newspaper. "They were going to do this yesterday but they both thought the timing was off... you know... considering."
