Jeremy above.
I stood up.
"Liz... don't make a scene." Jeremy warned.
I marched across the street with Jeremy close in tow. I neared Leo and Hannah still had her lips on his.
"So this is what you've been doing?" I said.
Leo pulled away from Hannah as quickly as he could, wiping his lips in the process.
"Liz... this isn't what it looks like." Leo tried to say.
"We were all worried about you. We wondered where you went and you didn't respond back to any of us. You could've been dead. Instead, you're prancing around with this... cheater." I glared at Hannah. "Once a cheater, always a cheater."
She glared at me.
"You know what... I'm not going to stick out my neck for you. You wanna hang out with them and be on their side... fine. Just don't come crying back to us. You are no longer welcome." I turned and started storming away when Leo's voice broke above everything else.
"What? So now you want me?" He shouted.
I whirled around. "Excuse me?"
"You came over here acting all jealous. You don't even know what's going on." Leo spat.
"I'm trying to look out for you. I'm trying to be your friend. I heard what she did to you and it was horrible... That's just the short version... and now you want to take her back?"
"I don't see you taking me back anytime soon."
"You're right. Because any chance you just had, you blew it." I turned to leave again.
"You're so selfish!" Leo shouted. He jumped over the cafe railing and onto the sidewalk, trying to follow me. "You think that you are better than everyone else. You-"
Wham! Jeremy punched him on the side of the face. Leo staggered and Hannah gasped. Other people in the cafe all looked over if they weren't already.
"Selfish? Look around, Leo. You are the selfish one. We tried to get ahold of you. We care about you but you don't seem to reciprocate those feelings. I finally started trusting you again but now I don't know what to think." Jeremy said.
Leo scoffed at him. "You're one to talk. You've been harboring this crush for her ever since I can remember. You are the selfish one, Jeremy."
"Being close friends doesn't mean I'm in love with her. You know I've always loved Karli. Grow up, Leo, and stop being a selfish baby."
Leo gritted his teeth as Jeremy tugged me along with him.
"Don't bother showing your face. I don't think any of us would enjoy seeing it." Jeremy said as we turned the corner.
"I can't believe he was the one to betray us..." I said quietly.
"I know. And Hannah was on their side. Her mind said it all." Jeremy said.
"So you read it?"
"Yea. She knew it would go down like this. She planned it that way."
I sighed. "I don't know. I guess I just thought Leo had more will power than that."
Jeremy scuffed his feet on the ground. "I guess... but he's been going back and forth between the two of you his entire existence."
We were quiet for a moment before I spoke up again. "So you love her? Karli I mean."
