Jeremy above.
As soon as we got to our hotel in Russia, I passed out. It was a bit of an exhausting jump, to say the least. I knew that both Seth and Ian would be with me, but I really wished they would at least let Jeremy come with us as well. He knew so much, and he was always a big help.
I felt so groggy. Trying to wake up was a struggle but I could hear voices.
"She's going to be up soon so I guess I'll go get some food." Seth was saying quietly to Ian.
"Ok. Keep a lookout." Ian said.
Seth grunted a yes and I could tell he had left. I sighed and tried to force myself to sit up.
"A bit exhausted, hey?" Ian said.
"Most definitely." I stretched.
"Well, you're in the home stretch. We are almost there."
"Almost where..."
"Not entirely sure yet."
I propped up on my elbow. "How do you know what you know?"
"I just... know."
"That's not helpful."
"I can't reveal how I know... but you once knew. There's a reason why you are fighting Gabriel. Can't you feel it?"
"Yes... but it's just so exhausting. I feel like we aren't getting enough help."
"It's soon to come. Hang in there."
I glared at him playfully. "Why do you do this to me?"
He laughed and moved toward me. "Because it's fun to torture you." He said as he started to tickle me. I laughed and tried to squirm out of his grip. He playfully kissed my neck. I turned to face him and kissed his lips. He smiled. "I love this."
"Me too." I grinned. "But there is something I need to confess."
"Yea... what is it?"
"The other night... Michael kissed me. I let him, but Jeremy said I shouldn't be playing you all like that. I know he's right, so I just wanted to apologize to you now and let you know that-"
Ian started laughing.
I frowned. "What's so funny?"
"Your guilt."
"It's not funny to me!" I pouted.
"Artemis... it was a kiss on the cheek. I'm not hurt by it... especially because you told me. To be honest, I saw it all go down. I see everything remember." He grinned.
"Ugh. I'm sorry!" I buried my face in his chest.
He chuckled. "Stop apologizing. If you want to define the relationship now... we could." He said seriously.
"Hell no," Seth said from the corner. I jumped from the sound of his voice and Ian sighed. "I'm gone 5 minutes and you straight up move on with each other?"
"Well... yea. We just have a connection." Ian said.
"Seth, I'm sorry, but I explained this to you," I said.
"Because we don't spend enough time together. I get it. But I'm out here busting my ass looking for Gabriel while Ian stalks you from the shadows and you fall for him? Seriously?" Seth tsks and throws the food on the table. "Ian, care to look for Gabriel clues while I lounge around this time?"
"Dude." Ian scoffed.
"Look. It's just us now. We need to get along." I said. "I know you're hurt, Seth, but what's done is done."
