Chapter 18

Karishma returned home to find Anjali waiting for her. When she told the reason, she couldn’t believe it.
Apparently, Anjali and aunt has asked some girl to teach her the traditions of this house. Aunt talked over Anjali and expressed her disagreement of the arrangement. Before she could think more, she was introduced to the girl, the same girl from Arnav’s office and the temple.

She totally forgot about this girl in all this ruckus. Now she is back in Arnav’s home invited by his sister.

She saw the approval look granny is giving the girl. Granny accepted Anjali’s plan of teaching her. She
was introduced to her.

I’m kushi

Hi. I’m Karishma.

She have no idea how to react. So, when they chatted about something else, she excused herself to her room. She felt insulted, it looked like that she is not good enough to be a daughter of this house. She expected granny but she didn’t expect this from Anjali. Even Anjali think like that it seems. While granny has been more upfront about how she feels. Anjali is indirectly doing these things which only made her
think that she is in the same page as her granny.

She doesn’t want to admit that she is hurt. Admitting it would only make things worse. She wants to go home, she wants to see her family and friends. She wants to go to the people who accepts and loves her for who she is. Here, it seems like granny wants her out of this home while Anjali wanted to change her to suit their home. She can only guess that uncle, Shyam and Akash had no involvement in this matter since Anjali said that this idea came to her in the morning. But now its too late, granny accepts this agreement and she won’t have it any other way. No one can say anything against it openly, since it looks like that granny is trying to accept her. Gods, why, just why.

She heard the knock in the door. She asked the person to come in and was a little bit surprised to see kushi.

Karishma, Anjali asked me to talk with you about the things I am going to teach.

Oh.

She needs to know this.

Before that, I need to ask something, You worked in Arnav’s office right?

Yeah.

What happened to that job?

Oh, I quit it.

Why? I mean I wouldn’t ask this usually. But you quit that job in his office and came to work in his home. I’m just curious.

Hmm. It’s just that. That job didn’t suit me but this job does.

Karishma can sense that the girl is trying to hide something, she couldn’t point the finger at that. But she didn’t ask her more, since she thought that she won’t get any real answers.

First, Let’s start with simple things. I’ll teach you how to make tea and snacks, kushi proclaimed.

They were in the kitchen in the next minute. Kushi go on and on about the procedure without a pause. It seems like she likes to talk. Karishma asked her to give pause in between so she can actually understand what she is saying.
When it was served in the evening, all of them appreciated.

Granny praised kushi more about the cooking skills of kushi, granny finds a way to praise her on everything. She felt alone. She would like to be alone but kushi asked to go to kitchen again to teach her some more things in the kitchen.

What the hell?

She heard Arnav’s voice clearly. She turned to find an angry Arnav. Kushi freeze in the middle of her teachings.
