Chapter 23

Telling that she is dumbstruck would be an understatement of the millennium. She is too shocked to say anything. Out of all the moments in her life, why on earth did she realized that she is in love at this moment.

She wants to say yes and just hug him the biggest hug of his life. But she couldn't, not if she wants any kind of decent if not loving relationship with his family. They will forgive Arnav for the move out but not her. She knows that. Arnav is their heir, their prince. Honestly, she can't blame his family for this one, even she feels that she can never truly be angry with him, she saw the real reason just now. But coming to the problem at hand now, she will be the woman who separated the beloved prince from his family.

Honestly now that her feelings have been made vividly clear to her, she is not sure if she wants to spend alone time with him in a home without his family. What if I made something stupid that may drive him off? She knows that he struggles with feelings. Even moments before, she knows that he is contemplating his feelings, she just didn't know what about but she knows that it is regarding his feelings.

Arnav always does that. He closes off his feelings to anyone. At first, she was a little bit hurt that he is not showing his feelings to her openly. She even tried to avoid him. But somehow, she couldn't be able to say no to him not even when they were just started seeing each other. Whenever he asks her out, her answer is always been yes, which actually shocked her because she always says no to any date or relationship proposals.

She should have known that something was different with him. For heaven's sake everything is different with him Karishma, you just refused to acknowledge it, now fate's having a laugh at you, Karishma berated herself.

She then remembered how he opened up about his family. And she couldn't hold her anger about his closed off personality no longer. He is trusting her, just in his own way. He may not say it, he may not show his feelings, but she knows that he trusts her and he cares for her. Otherwise, this move out at this time wouldn't have been proposed by him.

Once again it brought her back to earth, the problem at hand. She doesn't want to scare him off, and she doesn't want his family to loathe her at their early stage of relationship. She can't have that on her plate now. She came to a decision; she couldn't shake the feeling that she should just say yes to him. But she consoled herself that the time is not right.

She looked at his hands which is holding her protectively. She knows that he will do everything in his power to protect her. And that thought didn't at all helped the butterflies issue. She sighed.

We can't Arnav, it's been seen that granny has made a move to accept me. Moving out now will only make things worse, she said softly.

Arnav looked at her. He understands her but still he hoped for the move out. He wants her by his side, he wants her, just him, not his family. Just her and him. He couldn't help but think whether she is avoiding to move out with him.

And then he saw her moving in close with him. She toed and before he could think of the reason, her lips touched his.

It took half a second for him to get over his shock before he responded back. He kissed her back fervently. He has always been gentle with her, but this time he couldn't able to control himself. He can feel her labored breathing on his lips, her gentle hands holding on his arms like her life depended on it, her body pressing against him hot. He has to stop now before it's too late. By the time they separated from the kiss both of them of them are breathing and shaking with emotions. She looked at him shyly which brought a satisfied smirk on his face. When she tried to run off, he grabbed her hand and brought her for a needful hug. He kissed her forehead before releasing her. Then he went to his room.

Arnav knows that he is smiling like an idiot. And saying that he is happy wouldn't do justice for what he is feeling right now. He doesn't know what he is feeling and he doesn't care about it now.

All he can think about is their kiss. He has kissed her before, not frequently he would have preferred but occasionally. He doesn't want to startle her, he is clear that he would be patient with her. He will only take what she offers, he would never pressure her into doing anything she is not sure about.

It's always been him initiating in this relationship. But he doesn't mind that. He is happy that she is dating him and will do everything to make her happy.

He kissed her formally so many times. Yet, the first time he actually kissed her on their first date, he was taken aback. He didn't plan it, In fact he has planned to give it some time. But no one can blame him, in his defense she was breathtaking and lovely and before he understood what he is doing, he kissed her. It was for few seconds and he immediately felt dread about her reaction. But fortunately for him, he saw her blush and smile before she ran off to her home.

But this is the first time she has initiated and it's more than enough for him for now.
