Sidekick ~ Ness

Everyone thought that you and Kaiser were dating or that you would at least look good together and everyone also thought you had the maddest crush on him.

You would stare at him everytime he played, everytime he made a goal, you'd watch his every move.

Everytime he was standing around, you would stare at him and when he caught you, you would turn away with a blush on your face.

Whenever you were speaking with friends and he suddenly came up beside you, you would stutter like crazy and you would blush like a mad man whilst avoiding looking at him.

But in reality.

You would be staring at Ness everytime he scored a goal because he was always beside Kaiser.

Everytime he was standing around, you were staring at Ness and they would always catch you so you would turn away, embarrassed that Ness had caught you staring at him.

Whenever you were speaking with friends, the pair of them would come up beside you and you turned into a stuttering mess whilst Ness was near you and you would always avoid looking at him.

He was Kaisers sidekick and you were so in love with him.

Today, you were practicing your shooting skills and you were sweating like crazy, you were now panting on the floor, sprawled out on the turf with your eyes shut.

"You're getting better" The familiar voice of Ness made your eyes shoot open and you shot up, sitting up straight up.

"N-Ness! What are you d-doing here?" You asked, getting up rather quickly and brushing yourself off to try and look a little more presentable even though you were drenched in sweat.

"I was wandering around and I noticed you practicing so thought I would watch and you've gotten a lot better" Ness complimented you on your skills and you couldn't help the heat that started to rise in your cheeks.

"T-Thanks Ness" You thanked the boy with a shy smile and he just grinned at you.

"Y'know. Kaiser is planning on asking you out on a date. I think you guys will have fun but I just thought I should give you a heads up" Ness' mood seemed to drop a little at this and you were confused and shocked, why would Kaiser ask you on a date?

"W-What?! W-why?" You questioned, wanting your curiousity to be answered so you would be able to rest in peace.

"Because he likes you and you like him?" He seemed to be confused as to why you were confused that Kaiser would be asking you out on a date because you liked Kaiser, didn't you?

"W-What?" You were beyond confused and didn't know what else to say other than letting Ness explain more.

"You're always staring at him and when we catch you, you always turn away a blushing mess. When we come near you when your speaking with your friends, you get nervous and stutter over your words with a bright red face" He explained the reason behind it all started to make sense to you know, Kaiser thought you liked him and so he ended up liking you, how could you be so stupid?

"Oh no... No. I erm... I don't like Kaiser..." You awkwardly let out a small chuckled and Ness' eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"What? Then what's all that about then?" Ness was more than perplexed at this point and wanted nothing but an explanation for your behaviour.

"I- Well... You see-" You started out, fiddling with your fingers due to your nerves.

"Fuck it! I like you Ness." You finally managed to get the words out of your mouth.

You looked down at the ground with your eyes sealed tightly shut, afraid of rejection because you knew he would.

"What?" It was now Ness' turn to be confused by your words.

"I like you. I'm in love with you. I have been for months now" You confessed to the boy and he seemed beyond dumbfounded by your words, staring at you with his mouth slightly hung open.

"I've been staring at you. Blushing because you are near me. Blushing because you catch me staring" You explained and you watched as his face relaxed a little bit before he let out a lighthearted chuckle.

"Well that's a relief" He spoke and you were confused yet again, looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Huh?" You cocked your head to the side in a questioning manner, wanting answers to what he meant by what he had said to you.

"I was scared you and Kaiser would end up dating even though I have had a crush on you for way longer than Kaiser has. I was scared that you were going to get taken away from me by Kaiser" Ness explained to you and you made and 'o' shape with your mouth as everything started to piece itself together.

"Not that I would have had a say in the matter anyway" Ness muttered under his breath and you looked at him with sympathy in your eyes.

"Oh Nessy" You threw yourself at him, wrapping your arms around his neck as he giggled at your actions, wrapping his arms around your waist to hug you back.

"So does that mean..." He trailed off, looking deep into your soul but you managed to finish for him.

"Yes. We're official now. I am your girlfriend and you are my boyfriend" You smiled brightly up at him and ruffled his hair with your hand with a small giggle leaving your lips.

"Thank goodness for that!" He squeezed you slightly and burried his face into your hair as he held you close to him, savouring the moment.

You were so thankful that he ended up coming to your practice today otherwise you probably would have never found out about his feelings for you.
