August 23rd is the day when the kingdom of Sori celebrates the birthday of their eldest princess. But, this year, not only does the kingdom celebrate her birthday, they will also celebrate her coronation - the eldest princess will become the queen due to the late king's death exactly a month ago.

Since the king didn't have any sons, the coronation of the new ruler was delayed due to endless meetings that the kingdom's ministers held, discussing the "best solution" to the problem of who would succeed the king. All three princesses attended those meetings, sick to their stomachs about the bunch of men arguing, wanting to push each of their beliefs, ideals, and decisions on how to rule the kingdom. And it was in the middle of the eighth meeting, eight days since her father died, that the eldest princess stood up from her chair on the pedestal and yelled at the gathered men because she was sick and tired of their bickering and discussions.

"I will rule the kingdom!"

Her outburst sent a new wave of arguments. None of the ministers fully agreed with her idea. One party suggested that she gets married and that her new husband becomes a king while the other bunch totally disagreed with her idea because "women can't rule".

As said, the princess was sick and tired of such misogynistic statements that she decided to take measures, bringing punishment methods from the olden times - she ordered for all council members that degraded and insulted her because of her gender to be executed.

And so, weeks later and with a royal council halved, consisting only of the trustworthy people, the eldest princess of Sori proudly walked the royal gardens in the company of her two younger sisters after their early breakfast. Three sisters already started discussing the next measures after the coronation but one of the maids interrupted their talk, telling the princesses that the army captains of the Western District 9 have arrived.

"Ah, I suppose it's time," the eldest princess smiled, standing up from the bench, her sisters following, "I must put on my best smile for the old army officials," she added.

"Oh, no, Your Highness," the maid smiled and the princess noticed her shy blushing face, the way she fiddled her fingers, and how her gaze fell to the ground. But she looked back at the princess and her blushing cheeks were clearly noticeable, "The army captains are of the fourth generation, meaning that they're men in their 20s, and also... very handsome..." she almost whispered the last part of her sentence, lowering her head to hide her shyness again.

But the princess frowned, "I will advise you to gather your composure and not fall in love with every younger man that crosses the castle's doorstep," she talked sternly and the maid looked back at the princess, her face pale as the blush washed away as soon as her eyes met the sharp glare from the princess, "You should know that it is not your job and place to ogle at the visitors, especially army men. If you have time to stare, giggle, and get flustered at the sight of them, you surely have time to work. I won't tolerate such unprofessional behavior next time."
