A flexible schedule benefitted you since your job could be done online and anytime. Those were nice perks of being self-employed, and running a small business, meaning you were your own boss and the only colleague you had, your best friend, was kind and awesome enough to take the reins while you were away.

But having a boyfriend whose job wasn't as easy and whose schedule was booked throughout the year was a "problem". Working for a large company, Chan spent most of his time either in the office or on business travels, returning home tired, barely sleeping a night before he's up and at it again.

It saddened you but the things you could do to help him were limited...

"Phew, that's the last of it!" you happily exclaimed, finishing the packing of the last order.

A small applause came behind you and you turned in your chair to see your friend, Mia, at her desk, the program on her small computer finishing the last batch of prints.

"Well done, babe," Mia nodded and you winked at her, stretching in your chair one more time before you stood up. She turned back to her computer, scrolling through the list of orders. "These bracelets turned out to be the big hit," she said, looking through the webpage and updating the product description to "SOLD OUT".

"Girlies love cute animals and handmade stuff, so it's a win," you leaned over her shoulder, looking at all the products that were on the page, the animal bracelets being the most popular ones for sure - from the blue bracelets with sea animal charms to African wildlife and bracelets in earthy tones.

"Hehe, look at this," Mia pointed at the pop-out window that indicated another order received, "Australia is getting popular too. This user just ordered a quokka necklace."

You grunted, leaning away from Mia's table. "We'll do those tomorrow. I'm beat!"

"Lunch?" Mia turned in her chair just as you opened the small fridge to fetch some water.

"You're reading my mind," you pointed a finger at her and Mia giggled, hopping off her chair and closing the small laptop.

"Let's go send these packages and after that grab some delicious... meat?" she raised her brows in question and you twisted your mouth, thinking through her offer.

You shrugged, "You order what you crave," you smiled at her and grabbed your jacket from the hanger, "I need some greens."

Mia grimaced and you chuckled. You both picked a huge box of small packages and loaded it into Mia's car, on your way to the closest post office.

Some would say that having a salad for lunch was absurd but your body decided to "connect with nature" so the Gado-Gado, a tasty Indonesian salad, on the table in front of you, was exactly what you needed, plus it was considered a main dish so the waiter didn't give you a questioning look when you ordered it. You munched on the green vegetables and eggs, coated with delicious peanut sauce, as Mia continuously sighed in delight at the taste of deep-fried Indonesian chicken.

"Uh..." Mia sighed again, gulping water after her bite, "I love this restaurant but I seriously want to visit Indonesia and eat there. This stuff is so good!"

You chuckled, lowering your fork, "One day, dear," you nodded and sighed in some sort of longing and melancholy, "Our business is still at the beginning but when it takes off, we'll go anywhere we want."

"Good enthusiasm," Mia nodded, taking another piece of chicken, "But your voice doesn't show that positive aspect of your words," she arched her brow in suspicion.

You chuckled again, shrugging, "You know me too well," letting down your fork again, you leaned back in your chair, watching your friend savoring every bite with such delight. "I would like to travel and see places but," another shrug, "As you know, I can't... for many different reasons."
