Bang Chan and you have been dating for just over a month.

You two met in a club, he was out with some friends and bought you a drink, you danced for a bit, exchanged numbers, and, one thing led to another, you found your lips on his as the loud music and crowd of dancing people surrounded you.

With no hope that he'd call or text you, you continued with your daily life. But one lunch break on a busy Monday was interrupted by:

"Hey. This is Chan from the club. Wyd?"

At first, you were surprised that the dude stuck to that old-fashioned "three-days" rule but that fact pulled a smile to your face. From his short message that got you giggling at his use of shy emoji, you two hit it off - texting non-stop felt so natural and fun that you never wanted to stop. Ultimately, you agreed and scheduled your first date that took place at a café where Chan, wearing the most endearing smile and casual clothes, got your heart. But the gesture of bringing a small bouquet of spring flowers set off the bell-ringing sound in your mind but you shushed it fast, not wanting to get your thoughts to rush in that direction.

That first date went so smoothly, you had a movie-like feeling because of his subtle touch, the shy blush on his face where the smile never faded, and his glimmering eyes that attentively watched you as you talked. You never pulled your hand away from his, keeping it on the table and letting his fingers gently rub yours.

On that date, you learned that Chan was living in a big house with his seven friends, the fact honestly surprised you, but he explained the reason for that occurrence - his parents and siblings lived in Australia, the house was his parents' and he lived in it during his college years with those guys, but now that he graduated let his friends continue living there rent-free since they were still in college.

"Wow. That must be... interesting..." You smiled, imagining eight men throwing chaos in one place.

"Yeah..." Chan giggled, "It can sometimes get a little rowdy." He said and you nodded, noticing that he squeezed your hand a bit tighter after calming his laughter, staring deeply and affectionately into your eyes. "But they are good kids... and I want you to meet them one day."

You entwined your fingers with his and nodded, "I would like that."

Chan sighed and took your hand fully, not breaking eye contact. "They're like family to me... Sometimes I think that they saved me because I felt alone and lost for a very long time. But they came and... yeah... these guys basically saved me."

He giggled again, trying to hide the cute blush on his face. You could see and feel the love and care he had for his friends, both in the tone of his voice and in the look of his eyes as he talked.

But then Chan shifted the melancholic and somehow depressing mood to a cheerful one, talking about the funny moments of his past, making you laugh throughout the whole date. A date that started in a cafe where you both had some of the most delicious creamy lattes, ended with a walk along the river as you ate popcorn, at dusk, and Chan walked you home when it was already evening.
