Several papers in your hands felt strangely heavy.

You loved your job, no matter how dangerous and difficult it was. You worked with a handful of trusted people and you would consistently execute given tasks perfectly. But this request ...

Working as an informant, you never had your hands dirty by working in the shadows, and you had a variety of clients asking for your organization's services (from gathering simple info to hiring hitmen) but when you got an email with this job proposal, you almost got into a fight with your boyfriend.

That night after reading the confidential email, you couldn't wait to come back from the office and rage at him for even thinking about something like that. When you stomped into the living room, you found Bang Chan sitting on the sofa in silence, staring at his joined fingers on his lap, with only a floor lamp turned on. At the sight of him like that, your anger cooled down.

"Chan..." you started carefully, and he looked up at you at the sound of his name, his blonde curls falling over his eyes. Freshly showered, you noticed as he watched you through his damp curly fringe.

From his facial expression alone, it was readable enough that he was in doubt and fear. All the bottled anger you wanted to pour out on him suddenly subsided and you let down a breath, along with your briefcase. You buttoned off your gray suit jacket and the collar of your white dress shirt, letting out another sigh as you approached the sitting man, the heels of your shoes clicking on the wooden floor as you walked. At any other time, Chan would get excited at that sound as he loved when you wore those shiny black heels, but not tonight. He only watched you, his facial expression breaking your heart.

"Hey..." you whispered, sitting on the sofa next to him and carefully taking his hand in yours. It was cold and sweating - he was nervous, scared... doubtful. He looked down at your hand holding his, noticing how your warm fingers gently caressed his stiff ones.

"I'm sorry..." Chan started, still looking down. He gripped your fingers and bit his lower lip, "I don't know what got into me... I shouldn't have sent you that email..."

"Hey... baby..." with a whisper, you placed your palm on his cheek and slowly turned his head to you. You had to smile, despite the tight feeling in your chest. "When were your ideas ever not crazy, huh?" you chuckled and he pushed a weak smile, "I'll see what the girls and I can do about it. And, if it's too dangerous, we won't do the mission, okay?" subconsciously, your smile faded. But Chan nodded, his blonde locks dancing, and slowly leaned to kiss your lips shortly.

"Thank you," he whispered and hugged you tightly.

You could feel all the pressure and all the heavy feelings in that hug, so you hugged him back, wanting to take even a bit of the stress he felt.

That night he told you about the plan he and his boys came up with and it was the first time since you started dating that you talked business. You both never brought your job problems home but that night, you stayed until sunrise, talking and constructing a plan.

You always loved his enthusiasm and hardworking nature but, that night, you repeated the same question several times.

"Are you sure about this?"

And Bang Chan would always smile and nod, continuing his story where you interrupted it.

Women you worked with knew who your boyfriend was and, obviously, had to know who requested the job. So, learning that it was Bang Chan and his friends who asked for your help, operation "City Jungle" became your top priority, which you put all your efforts and huge money into, and failure wasn't an option. You had to call many people and organize the action, going over the plan until the dead of the night.
