P A R T 9

Back to Lexi's pov:

I was sat at the table and I was feeling a little awkward. I look over at Belly, who seems to be having a great time. She's chatting with the other girls and laughing at their jokes. I take a deep breath and try to relax. My thoughts were disturbed when one of the girls asks me and belly "so are you new? is this your first summer in cousins?"

I reply with "no we've been coming here since we were babies"

"yeah they're like family friends with conrad and jeremiah" the girl sitting next to belly says

"soo, are u you are jeremiah like.. a thing?" gigi said looking concerned

"are u speaking to me?" i say looking up at her

"ye, so are u?" she asks

"uh no, he's just a family friend" i say nervously

"gigi has had like this thing for jeremiah, ever since he got abs" shayla says laughing

Gigi doesn't reply instead she sighs looking worried. Shayla notices and says "relax i'm not into jeremiah fisher"

"and your noticing his abs?" gigi says back with a glimpse on her face

"she's too busy eye fucking the waiter" another girl said

"dude that's lexi and bellys brother" shayla says while laughing

"ew gross" i mutter

"wait omg i just thought of where i knew u from, u got a following on tiktok right?" a girl says looking and pointing at me

"yep that's me" i say awkwardly laughing

the same girl says while giggling "there's no way u and jeremiah fisher are just friends i've seen your tiktoks"

"i swear we're just friends... well we're not even talking at the moment so i guess we're not even friends right now so don't worry gigi he's all yours" i said hesitating and plastering a fake smile while facing gigi.

Eventually it was time to go and we all headed home. When i got back to the beach house i run up the stairs to get changed out of my dress, i look through my closet looking for a more comfier outfit until i come across Jeremiah's hoodie. I hold it and just looking at it kind of made me sad i still didn't know why he wasn't talking to me. I shove the hoodie at the back of my closet and pick out some gym shorts and my own hoodie. I decided to go on a walk down to the beach to clear the thoughts drowning in my head.

I walk down to the beach kicking the sand every step i took while staring down at my phone, i look through my tiktok drafts and find a tiktok i made earlier in my dress before the deb meeting so i decided to post it.

As i was posting my tiktok, i wasn't looking where i was going and had tripped over someone's foot, i landed face first into the sand embarrassing my self infront of whoever i tripped over. I stand up dusting the sand off of me, "i didn't ruin your pretty face did i?" i turn around and it was the boy i tripped over he was looking me up and down and smirking.

"no i'm fine" i say walking off

I feel the boy grab my wrist as i walk off "don't leave so soon pretty girl, what's your name?" he asks me

"um Lexi, lexi conklin" i reply

I didn't even get the chance to ask him back and he goes "i'm Blake, Blake Miller"

"so what's a pretty girl like you doing on the beach alone" he says staring at me

"uh i was bored and wanted to clear my head so i came on a walk" i reply shyly

"u got plans tonight?" he asks me while giving me one of them head nods that boys give each-other.

"not that i know of why" i say

"so since your free, you wouldn't mind going to a drive in with me then huh" he says in a confident tone like he knew i was going to say yes

I think to myself well i have nothing better to do and if i go i also get out of my moms book signing tonight so i just say "sure whatever"

We exchange numbers and he lets me know he's going to pick me up and 8pm.
