P A R T 3 6

I woke up to Susannah sat on the edge of my bed with a glass of water in her hand.

"Good morning angel" she smiled as i was opening my eyes.

She was the best she always knew how to put a smile on anyone's face.

"morning" i smiled back

"you ready? todays the big day" she asked

"ready as i'll ever be, i still can believe jere agreed to take me, he's always sworn off balls" i laughed

"he'd do anything for you" she gushed as she moved my hair away from my face, tucking it behind my ear.

There was a silence but it wasn't awkward it was never awkward with susannah. It was comfortable her just being in my presence could make me smile.

She broke the silence standing up from my bed "i'll leave you to get ready don't be long jere got you your favourite muffins" she smiled at me before leaving me to get ready.

I was feeling lazy and laid in bed for a good 5 minutes before getting up to have one of the longest showers i've ever had. What i had to look good it was a fucking deb ball. I chucked on one of Jeres hoodies and some sweat shorts leaving my hair in a towel. Blow drying my hair felt like the biggest chore so i decided to leave it for a later problem.

In the kitchen was Conrad, Jeremiah and the moms "uh wheres belly" i asked

"She's having a shower" Conrad answered

"here you go" jere grinned handing me a box, in it was my favourite muffin, well two of them.

"two muffins?" i questioned

"i felt like being nice" he shrugged hiding his smirk

"awe your too kind" i laughed while squeezing his cheek knowing it annoys him.

"ew get a room" steven looked in disgust as he walked into the kitchen.

"aren't you met to be at shayla's?" i questioned

"uh ye, i'm heading there now" he replied, his expression has changed he looked worried.

I shrugged it off turning back to my mom "will you help me dry my hair i hate doing it and i have to be at the country club in an hour"

"Sure, i'll be right up honey"

"Laurel sit, i got this" Jere told my mom

"You've dried a girls hair before?" Susannah laughed

"No but how hard can it be" he looked concerned

Up in my room Jere helped dry my hair, well he tried. My mom ended up helping instead, Jeremiah just kept getting his hands tangled in my hair, he was sweet for trying though.

I arrived at the Country club, originally Jeremiah was going to give me a ride but he decided to spend that time practicing the dance the boys had to do, because he didn't want to "mess up in-front of me" cute, so my mom gave me and belly a ride instead.

Inside Shayla showed me and belly to our dressing table's. I let belly and Nicole speak about the other night, they definitely needed to sort that out, while i spoke with shayla and the other girls.

I was so nervous i was even thinking about dropping out the last second, obviously i didn't the only reason i was up here was because of susannah i honestly would do anything for her and she was so excited for me and belly to be debs.

All my nerves stopped when i saw Jeremiah across the stage, he looked so handsome in his suit. He saw me too and a big smile formed on his face. I never want this feeling i get when i see him to go away.
