Chapter 27: Ace

Present
Next day,
Morning-
'Why did you call?' asks Arlyn on call
'To inform you about the meeting. We have a meeting now' says Lorenzo
'So? Why are you telling me about it? Shouldn't you tell dad about it?' asks Arlyn
'He already knows about it. I am telling you because I want you there, I want you to come to the meeting' says Lorenzo
'Why?' asks Arlyn
'You will know it soon. Just get ready, I will pick you up' says Lorenzo and hangs up the call

30 minutes later-
'Where are you going?' asks Christian
'To the meeting!' says Arlyn
'And why? You ain't allowed to attend it and you know that' say's  Christian
'I know dad. But Lorenzo wants me to come. He's picking me up' says Arlyn
'He said you to come along and you are? Are you back with him?' ask's Christian
'No dad. We ain't together. And I am going now' informs Arlyn and goes

In car-
There was only silence filled up in the car till we reached. Yes nor I spoke up or he did, we were silent. I didn't knew what to say him, it was pointless to talk to him because I know he won't understand me but I curiously wanted to ask him why was I coming along with him to the meeting, but I kept my curiosity down and chose not to ask him. So the ride went silently!
We reached and got out of the car, and i asked him
'Lorenzo are you going to announce the 5th ace today?'
'Yes, you guessed it right!' says Lorenzo
'Who is it going to be?' I asked
'You will know it soon' says Lorenzo
'Is..it me?' I asked
'Correct guess Arlyn. You are so smart' says Lorenzo
'Me? But why me?' I asked
'Why not, you are the most capable one, I know right now. And also you always wanted be an Ace, so why not you..you are strong, capable and deserving for this position' says Lorenzo
'I don't want you to do favours on me' says Arlyn
'I am not doing any favour on you Arlyn. I want to give this position to the person I know from close, whom I know very well, and that's you also because you can maintain it and keep it secure' says Lorenzo and she doesn't says anything further and they go inside the headquarters!

In Headquarters-
'What's the reason for this sudden meeting Lorenzo?' asks Guzaro when he saw Lorenzo coming inside
'Have patience Guzaro. You will know it soon, till then can we wait for Christian to come!' says Lorenzo
'What is she doing here? Except for Aces, no one is allowed to come here then why is she here?' asks Maxine
'Oh great Christian is here on time. So let me tell you the reason for this sudden meeting' says Lorenzo ignoring Maxine
'Yes, please start' says Zameer
'So here I announce the 5th Ace of Italy, not to put on more suspense; it's Arlyn O'Dare!' announces Lorenzo
Hearing this everyone were confused and had a 'What?' look on their faces!
'What the hell? Are you serious?' asks Guzaro
'Yep damn serious' says Lorenzo
'She can't be an Ace. When I am already the leader of Black Reapers, then how can she be an Ace. Also she doesn't have any gang of herself ' say's Christian
'She doesn't needs a gang for being an Ace and who said that if you an ace, your daughter can't be one too. She alone is enough for everyone, she doesn't needs a gang for herself or to prove you all' says Lorenzo
'Did you even ask her about her opinion huh? Arlyn do you want to take up this position? Do you want to be an Ace?' asks Christian
'Yes dad, why not? When I am getting a chance to prove myself to all of you, that I am no less then you guys, then why shouldn't I take up this position' says Arlyn
'Girls always fake big things at start and we all know the outcome of a girl's ruling' says Maxine
'Really then a guy should never doubt the skills of a girl, the live example was my mother, "Juliana O'Dare"! Wasn't she called a "Queen" herself. Didn't she make a place for herself in this world, so can Arlyn for herself. So you all better accept my decisions' says Lorenzo
'But the world also know about the tragic death of your mother. If you forgot, let me remind you..here this man Zameer Sheikh himself planned the murder of your mother! He proved himself, that he can be a great leader unlike your wife, who didn't prove anything to any of us yet' says Guzaro
'Why not we do voting for it then. Fair right' says Lorenzo and continues 'Please raise your hands if you want Arlyn to be an Ace!' says Lorenzo and raises his hand. When no one else raised their hands, Lorenzo spoke up, 'Zameer, why don't you raise your hand by yourself. What objection do you have with her being an Ace. Don't forget that I was the one who allowed you to be an Ace, I was then one who gave you this position. And I can take it any moment I wish' warns Lorenzo and he immediately raised his hand
'Maxine, come on..same goes to you. Do you want to face my wrath mate?' asks Lorenzo
'Don't give me a warning Lorenzo, I don't have any problem with her being an Ace, as new members are always welcomed by me' says Maxine and raised his hand
'Why do we have this fool, Maxine as an Ace?' thinks Christian
'I know how much ever I tell you both or warn you, I know you won't raise your hands. so let's just continue. So the majority goes to Arlyn because your both's decision really doesn't matter to me' says Lorenzo and continues 'So here by, in front of the other Aces, I announce Arlyn as our fifth Ace' says Lorenzo
'Meeting adjourned' says Lorenzo and everyone just leaves from the room, while Arlyn still was in shock..Lorenzo comes near her and whispers in her ear 'Congratulations Arlyn' says Lorenzo
and goes from there!

So here it is,
Arlyn becomes an Ace
