Chapter 55: Attack

Morning

Waking up early in the morning, I went to terrace of the hotel to get some fresh air and to think and clear off my mind with all the thoughts of yesterday. This honeymoon is wrong. Why on the first place I am here..I shouldn't have come here even after his threats..it was not like he would have really killed people dear to me. Right now all I need to think about and focus on is how to reach till Lorenzo's throne, how should I defeat him and take over his position and rule the country, be the queen! While I was looking at the beautiful sky, I felt someone's presence behind me and I knew it was Lorenzo. I turned back to look at him and for the first time I was wrong; it was not Lorenzo but Frank. What was he doing here?

'Frank? What are you doing here, in Paris?' asks Frank
'How can you come here all alone, on your own boss, without any security? Did you forget the risk you have in roaming around, here on streets? Why did you take such a risk? And why didn't you inform anyone about leaving Italy and going to Paris?' asks Frank
'I wasn't obliged to. Don't worry about me Frank, I am here with Lorenzo..' I said 'and I don't need any protection when I am with him. He himself is enough to protect us both' I wanted to say but I didn't.

'With him..why?' asks Frank
'For a mini vacation. Yeah you can call it a vacation' says Arlyn. Yes I used an appropriate word instead of saying that I am here for my honeymoon.
'Does that means you are together with him?' he asked in disappointment.
'No. We are not together' I stated.
'Thank god. I don't want him around you' say's Frank
'Why? Why does it matter you anyhow?' I asked him.
'Because i don't want him to hurt you again, like he did in past, so as a friend I suggest you to stay away from him, to avoid the consequences already' says Frank

Why does everyone want me to stay away from him; including myself?

'You didn't answer my question. What are you doing here?' I asked
'I am here for your safety boss. I can't let you alone with him, after all he also has enemies which can be behind you too' say's Frank
'You didn't had to take the risk and travel all way here just to protect me Frank. I am capable of protecting myself' I said.
'Still boss, I don't mind. Now that I am here, I will make sure to keep you safe and follow you everywhere' say's Frank.
'Hmm' i said and Lorenzo came here too, all shirtless, showing off his sexy body, only in his pants.
No, not an encounter of him and Frank! He didn't bother to speak anything, instead he hold my hand tightly taking me to a corner.
'What?' I said angrily
'This was supposed to be our honeymoon, all alone, away from everyone. What is he doing here?' he asking in a pissed voice
'Why does his presence even concern you. It's not like we are going to celebrate this so called forceful honeymoon of ours' I said.
'Why is he here?' asks Lornezo
'For my protection, what else!' I said.
'Protection? You need protection in my presence..I see. And you say you didn't move on. He is always around you, he is everywhere where you are and you say you didn't move on, doesn't looks like' he shouted and went from there.

No, I don't need anyone's protection except your warmth for me, to make me feel safe in your arms. Can you do that for me? Can you just put everything aside for once and care about me more and less about other things?

In the room
'I decided' say's Lorenzo when Arlyn came in the room.
'What?' asks Arlyn
'Our honeymoon is done, we will leave tonight for Mexico' say's Lorenzo
'Why?' asks Arlyn
'For work. So be ready I will directly see you at the airport' says Lorenzo and goes from there.

Few hours later
As Lorenzo said they are leaving for Mexico tonight, so Arlyn is getting herself ready.
'Boss, we are ready to go' say's Frank
'Hm. Give me a minute' says Arlyn when an alarm suddenly started to ring.
'What is this sound?' asks Frank
'It an alarm to alert us that the hotel has been attacked. Go alert others in the hotel and help them' say's Arlyn
'But..what about you boss?' asks Frank
'There is no time to think about me. Go safe others first, I can protect myself' says Arlyn and he goes.

Yes I care about others safety first instead of my own, because it was more important to safe my people first, not fully mine but Lorenzo's, after all this is his hotel. So I got my gun ready, and was about to go down stairs, when a shot of snipper passed by my ear, hitting the ground. Making me fall on the floor. Someone wants to kill me, but who? I got up and went down quickly, and saw that it was too late already..I saw dead bodies, blood..people running in panic. I didn't knew who attacked, because there were no enemies in the hotel, they were hiding somewhere; attacking from outside, that's when I caught one of them. One of them was here in the hotel, going upstairs, I followed him. He went in one of the room, and I found out that they were 6 people in the room..they surrounded me by the time I was figuring a way out. One of them attacked, I used my pocket knife and stabbed his stomach twice; he died. Other 2 attacked together; I kicked one of them making him fall on the floor and killed the other with my gun. I shoot the others too, one was able to save himself, he went out of the room, I followed him..exactly running behind him, we were on the stairs, while I matched his speed and now was beside him, I was going to kick him, but before I could do anything he kept his leg in between, making me fall down the stairs..he managed to run away while I was falling down of the stairs, hitting my head at a pillar and then I was unconscious.

An hour later, Arlyn woke up. She was in her room. Putting her hand on her head, she asked 'wha..? Is everyone safe now?' asks Arlyn
'Yes boss, we saved them, all because you handled everything here. One of the attacker saved himself but I caught him, he is in for inquiry now. Are you okay boss, you hit your head and I called doctor, he did the stitching. I hope you are okay now?' asks Frank
'I am. The wound is not so big, it's not paining' says Arlyn
'Take rest boss, I will get information from the attacker' say's Frank and goes.
'Hmm' says Arlyn and sat on the bed.

'I came as soon as I heard. That bastard attacked you on my back. Are you okay?' asks Lorenzo touching her forehead
'They beat you?' asks Lorenzo
'No they tried to kill me and this wound I got it while running behind one of them, nothing more. Tell me who was behind it? Who wanted to kill me? Who is this new enemy?' asks Arlyn
'No, no one' says Lorenzo
'Don't lie, I know you know the name. Say me the name Lorenzo' says Arlyn raising her voice, almost shouting.
'I am not sure yet, let me investigate first' says Lorenzo
'For investigation I have my men and also we caught a man, don't worry about it. Just tell me the name' says Arlyn
'Marcel Scott' says Lorenzo
'Why do you think he was behind this attack? Why does he wants to kill me now?' asks Arlyn
'I don't know, that is why let me inquire first, then we shall go to a conclusion' says Lorenzo and continues 'until then can you rest a little, your wound is still fresh' say's Lorenzo
'It doesn't matter. What matters me at the moment is that I want to know the reason why does he wants me dead?!' say's Arlyn
'You don't need to worry about it. As I said I will do my inquiry, and you will take rest, cause we have a flight tonight. You need rest, sleep' say's Lorenzo and lays her down.
'Don't pretend like you care about me. I know you don't and it's not like anyone is around, so you can drop the act of being a perfect husband cause you are not one' say's Arlyn
'Why do you think this is fake?' asks Lorenzo
'Because I see no reality in it, because I know that you don't care about me, nor right now nor you did in past, you always cared about yourself, you never cared about me' says Arlyn
'That is not true' says Lorenzo
'I know it is more than the truth. It is reality, so back off with whatever you have in your mind, cause if you think that I will get attached to you again; trust me I won't' says Arlyn
'I am outta here, just take test' says Lorenzo and goes.

Later it was night, they packed there bags and left for Mexico.

So here it is,
