I was a little shocked at how angry she was. Janet never cursed, neither over text nor in real life.

I was about to turn my phone off when I got a great idea. I texted,

Can I tell Fiona? Shes a lot more subtle than me, and she can come up with something rlly smart to say.

It was only when I turned off my phone when I realized: What the hell have I just gotten myself into?

But it was too late to back up now. Turning on my phone again, I texted Fiona. I explained everything to her (I even betrayed Janet's trust and told her she wanted to kick Delphine from the group, because she needed the details, right?) and when I was done she texted back,

Wow. It's only November and there's already drama. Sure, though, I'll talk to Delphine.

Do you think we actually should kick her out of our friend group? She's okay, mostly.

No, I don't think we should kick her out of our friend group, but we should still be careful around her.

"Done," Fiona said halfway through second recess (the one after Douvle Fanfiction Writing).

"With what?" I asked, confused.

"Talking to Delphine," Fiona said. "I even recorded it. Come, we still have a few minutes left."

She led me to a corner since we were allowed to use our phones but wanted no one to hear. She found a recording on her phone and began to play it.

Bold is Fiona.

Italic is Delphine.

Delphine, we need to talk.

Sure, what's up?

Just know that you're one of my best friends and this conversation shouldn't change anything between us.

*Deep breath* Delphine, Janet feels like you're being a little possessive... is that true?

*Hesitation, then all at once* Janet wants to kick you out of the big friend group because she feels like you're too possessive.

Footsteps.

Wait! Don't go talk to her about it!

A door, one I assumed to be the bathroom's, closed. I guessed that Delphine had walked out.

I've really messed up...

There was a shuffle, and the recording ended.

"Y/N..."

"I'm genuinely at a loss for words at the moment, Fiona," I said.

"Y/N, I'm so sorry," Fiona said, looking like she was about to cry. "I messed up bad! Delphine's probably gone and snitched to Janet and I didn't stop her!"

"It's my fault," I said. "I wasn't supposed to tell you Janet wanted Delphine out of the friend group. Then I forgot to tell you I wasn't supposed to tell you!"

"But I still spilled it to Delphine! Any person with a working brain wouldn't have said that!"

"Don't beat yourself up about it, okay?" I said as gently as I could, trying not to panic. "All we have to do is get to Delphine and make sure she hasn't talked to Janet yet."

"Okay..."

Fiona and I ran for our lives back to our spot. Only Antonio, Xavier, Brandon, Giovanni, and Jeveskia were there, along with Eloise.

"Where's Janet?" I asked in a panic.

"She and Delphine went to the bathroom," Jeveskia answered, looking confused at me and Fiona's panic. "Why? What's wrong?"

Neither of us answered. Fiona and I sprinted to the nearest girls' bathroom. As Fiona was about to open the door, it opened from the inside and two people came out: Delphine, guilty-looking with her eyes glued to the floor, and Janet, her arms crossed and looking very, very angry.

And that's just the beginning of the drama. Expect more frequent updates!
