I re-read the Lightning Thief and the first chapter of The Sea of Monsters the night before the exams with Fiona. Ever since the sleepover, every single weekday after school she was at my house or I was at hers. On weekends we went out with Delphine.
From all the information Fiona had gathered about the exams, there was one written exam and a practical for every subject. Some were obvious; in Fanfiction Writing we'd be asked to write an essay which, if you think about it, is written, but it's what the class revolves around, so that was the way it was, unless Fangirl School had yet another surprise up their sleeves.
Others, not so much; we had no idea what we'd be doing for subjects like Pre-OC and Character Life. We'd come up with a list of possibilities for each subject, written in Fiona's freakishly neat handwriting.
EXAM POSSIBILITIES
DIGITAL DESIGN:
1. We'll be asked to design a main character or our OC from scratch.
Yeah, that was the only one we came up with. In Lightning Thief year we were taking character design, and supposedly by the end of Last Olympian year, we'd know how to design the entire camp from scratch.
CHARACTER LIFE:
1. We'll be asked to make up a quote a character hasn't said in the book but has likely said/will say in the future.
2. We'll be asked to make up our character's morning routine.
3. We'll be asked to have a conversation with the teacher about a grade as our character.
And the list goes on. There were that many possibilities for Character Life that it was scary to think of.
For the other subjects we mainly brainstormed but didn't write anything down, because Fiona was trying to take notes on the little things in the book while making up these lists, and I told her she couldn't write in the exam if she kept writing now, and she stopped the lists and only took her notes.

On the day of the exams, Fiona was so nervous she might as well have passed out. Delphine and I tried to calm her down, saying it was only Fangirl School and she had practically memorized the book, but nothing calmed her down.
We had double Digital Design first thing in the morning, so we sat the written exam for the first lesson, then took the second lesson to do the Digital Design practical.
The exam, for all Fiona's stress, turned out to be only twenty questions.
1. How did Clarisse get wet?
Oh, that was an easy one. Supreme Lord of the Bathroom, naturally, had doused her in toilet water. And he wonders why she hates him so much.
2. Who took Sally Jackson hostage?
Well, Hades, duh.
3. What is Annabeth's last name?
This was common fangirl knowledge; the answer was Chase, but it would soon be Jackson, although I didn't write that last part.

The Digital Design practical turned out to be exactly what Fiona and I predicted; we had to design our OC from scratch. For Character Life, they made us do an assignment the way our character would do it. Girls were Annabeth and boys were Percy. The smart kids like Fiona and I pretended they were dyslexic, surely securing an A+. Other girls kept saying, "Oh! I know this!"out loud, while the boys kept asking questions. Although I'm pretty sure Giovanni Peterson actually just didn't understand the questions.
Then we had our Pre-OC exam, which was to write down every single little detail about our character; where they were born, do they have glasses, have they ever dyed their hair, etc.
We weren't allowed to have regular lunch so we wouldn't ask kids from the other classes about the exams we hadn't taken yet, so everyone was sent to buy their lunch from the cafeteria if they did, then come back to homeroom class and eat there. We all discussed the exams, and what we'd done, but mainly the written, and given the fact that Fiona had answered everything exactly the same as me, I was sure I was getting an A+.
Then everyone who was not in the Advanced Fanfiction Writing class had to leave and go to their own Fanfiction Writing classes, so I stayed while the other Advanced kids came in; Jeveskia, Lucas, Xavier, Brandon, and, I sighed and rolled my eyes at the sight of them, Janet and Antonio.
Sure enough, we had to write a story. The story was supposed to be about the chaos that ensued in the campfire, because a bunch of kids at a summer camp with only a half-horse guy for supervision can't be exactly disciplined.
We weren't allowed out for recess either, so we stayed in our homeroom classes again, then we had double Shipping. We took the practical, which was explaining why the ship is the best out loud to the teacher while the rest of the class stood outside, in the first class, then used the last to say our goodbyes and stuff.
"You're both coming tomorrow, right?" I asked. Fiona nodded but Delphine shook her head. "My parents have a business trip, and they were supposed to go today if not for my exams. They don't want to leave me with Grandma because it's 'neglecting their child'"-she made air quotes- "but believe me, I'd rather stay."
By dismissal, Delphine was really upset. She hugged me, then Fiona, then the both of us in a group hug before she went to her mom.
"Aidan's picking us up," Fiona said to break the silence. "We're at my house today, right?"
"Yup," I said, careful not to pop the p.

The next day was like a super-long recess period. The whole day, we had the school to ourselves, so we wandered around, saying our goodbyes to teachers and each other. Jeveskia hugged both me and Fiona tight and made us promise we'd see her over the summer.
"Really? You won't leave me with my idiot brother the whole summer?"
"We won't, trust me. But if its a group thing, you might want to bring your idiot brother with you," Fiona said.
Jeveskia sighed hugely and dramatically. We both laughed. I high-fived Giovanni and Xavier while Fiona hugged Brandon, then I high-fived him too. Lucas smiled at me and said, "I know we haven't been friends for very long, but it's been great."
"It really had been," I said, smiling back. He held up a hand and I smacked it as hard as I could.
But Fiona and I weren't quite finished yet. We went to my house and changed really quickly, then went to the mall. We bought matching bracelets there and just hung out for the whole day. I promised I'd text her every single day and call whenever I had the chance, and we ended up going home at 11 and staying up for much, much longer.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, was your first year at Fangirl School.
I'm going to be very specific here. Firstly, this is from a girl's point of view, and in the future a lot of girl things will be written, so if you're a boy you might want to back out now.
Second, I am putting this on hold. It's no secret that stories in which the reader is in the book world are more popular, so that's what I'll be doing, in hopes to expand my writing beyond the Percy Jackson fandom. I don't know when you're reading this but it was in hold at some point so I can write something else.
Thirdly, I will not discontinue this and leave it for three years like other authors that write amazing stories then leave them. It's not a promise but it's not what I have planned for this book. I plan to finish all five years of Percy Jackson Fangirl School, then write an epilog in many parts; HoO, graduation, the future, etc.
And that's all I have to say, so have a great day!
