We smiled at each other and bid farewell to Tita. Jill was still asleep. Umaga pa lang kasi.

We walked towards the same forest where Leanne once bought me, pero hindi kami sa Headquarters ng Death Grip papunta.

“Hindi po yata ito ang daan papuntang Death Grip Headquarters, Mama,” I said as I wander through the woods to familiarize.

“Oh, sorry. I wasn't thinking. But may ibang daan akong alam kaya itong pathway na ito ang dinaanan natin. You'll see,”

“Let me guess,” I started as I hopped over a fallen tree trunk on our way. A small “hmm” came out from Mama.

“You're a previous member of Death Grip, right?”

She chuckled lowly in between her breath. I smiled, imagining her teenage years back in Peculiarim.

“I was. As well as your Father, and Sandy, and Hilda.. and Lanna,” she trailed off and we both fell into silence for a few minutes.

“Were you born as a Gripton? I mean, alam mo na bang Gripton ka po since the day you were born?” I suddenly asked.

“Yes, anak. We're living in Vacryl. That's a village near Chattelspum,” she answered before stopping on her track. I gaze at the portmain in front of us. It's in between the two large trees.

“Vacryl.. I should see that myself, then,” I commented while smiling widely at her. She smiled back at me and nod.

“You will, anak. I will be happy to show you where I was born,”

Soon, we finally reached the front gate of Academia Peculiarim. Bunch of Griptons are all over the places, with their parents and weird carts with horses, sending their kids at school after a month. I couldn't help but to smile at myself, seeing this kind of scenario for the very first time. I wasn't able to see this front gate ever since I known the fact that I am one of them—a Gripton.

My amazement were cut off when I felt my Mama's hand carressed the top of my head. I looked up at her gentle face.

“Well? I shall see your father now, and then you soon?” she smiled.

I didn't waste another second and gave her a very tight and warm hug. I buried my face on her chest and felt her kiss the top of my head.

“I love you, Mama. Promise me to take care of yourself. We'll visit Vacryl together,” I said before breaking the hug. I saw her nod her head willfully.

“I love you, too,”

I watch her walk away, as we both waved each other our goodbyes. My eyes once again scan the entire area and my heart swell with joy. I was about to enter the gate when I heard Red's voice from a distant calling me. I swirl around and found him standing beside Mrs. Wilson so I took a walk towards them.

“Hello, Mrs. Wilson,” I greeted. Mrs. Wilson gave me a sweet nod.

Red also bid his goodbye and I wish her Mom a safe trip before finding my hands intertwined with his fingertips. My lips curved into a smile involuntarily.
