DEATH GRIP: CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Leanne and Clarence took me to a dark room inside the school after having our breakfast. It is my first day here in this school at talaga namang kinakabahan ako. Napatingin ulit ako sa uniform kong naiiba sa lahat.

"Uhm, guys? Do you have any idea kung bakit white lang ang uniform ko?" I asked as my voice echoed through the whole space in this room. I shivered.

"Hindi ka pa navavariate, that's why ganyan ang uniform mo. And now we are going to do that here." Leanne said as Clarence started to speak into different language.

"Offan dese rūm zuo uns.." He murmured then Clarence's hand sweep horizontally in the air, downward and upward, creating an inverted triangle.

"Praeter naturam.. peculim.. unus unicus.." He uttered with the movements respectively.

Seconds later, the room began to lit up with bright blue light making the room looked more cold and eerie. I turn my gaze to Leanne standing beside me.

"Anong gagawin natin dito?" I ask, whispering.

"Malalaman mo din mamaya." She answered and lead me in the middle of the room. I pulled Leanne's arm nung akmang iiwan nya ko.

"I-iiwan nyo ko dito?" I asked, looking scared.

"You need to face it alone. Walang pwedeng tumulong sayo bukod sa sarili mo. We'll be waiting you, don't worry." She said with assurance habang inaalis ang pagkakahawak ko sakanya bago tuluyang maglakad palayo sa tabi ko.

Sinundan ko ng tingin ang papaalis na likod ni Leanne hanggang lamunin sya ng dilim. Mas lalong bumalot sakin ang takot at kaba habang nakatayo. Anong susunod nito?

I felt my breathing became faster, para akong mamamatay dahil hindi ako makahinga ng maayos. Iniisip ko kung kelan at pano matatapos tong kabaliwan na to ng biglang dumagundong ang buong paligid. Napakurap ako ng makarinig ako ng tunog na ginagawa ng ahas. Lumingon lingon ako sa paligid, maging sa taas hinanap ko kung saan nanggagaling yung ingay.

The hissing then become louder, parang papalapit sakin. My body started to shake as I looked in the dark spot in front of me kung saan ko mas naririnig ang tunog. Dito sya lalabas.. Dito sa harap ko.

"Oh god, oh god.. Leanne! Clarence!? Nasan na ba kayo? Ayaw ko na.." I called, almost crying but no one answered back.

Then slowly, an enormous snake with shades of yellow dots onto it's white skin emerge from the darkness. My skin crawl at the sight of it's fangs and wide open mouth, its slim tounge out.

I remain frozen. Naalala ko, hindi daw nakakakita ang mga ahas and I started to formulate a plan inside my head. Kailangan ko lang manatiling kalmado tapos pupunta ako sa nilakaran ni Leanne para makalabas na ko ng hindi nya namamalayan. I was about to move on my side when the snake attack as if stopping me to escape. I leaped and let out a squeal, then it was followed with the snake's hissing.

Then yellow colored stain started to cover my socks. Hindi ko alam kung pano nangyari yun, pero gusto ko na talagang matapos to. Thinking it's already finished, I looked up at the gigantic snake, still opening its mouth and attempts to swallow me when my head seared again with pain. I clutch onto the floor, covering my head to stop the pain.

Nahagip ng mata ko yung malaking aso, it's here again. Standing in front of me like a soldier protecting me, the big black dog then leaps aiming to attack the snake by clawing its eyes. The gigantic snake hissed loudly as blood flows down its eyes and looking defeated, paatras na bumalik sa dilim.

Sunod sunod na hinga dahil sa takot at kaba na nanggagaling sakin ang tanging naririnig sa paligid. The big black dog, turns around to faced me. It walks toward me, and with my weak state engulfing my whole system, I managed to give it a tap on its head while smiling. Then I noticed something.
