DEATH GRIP: CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

I keep on rubbing the back of my hand as I walk back and forth. I don't know, but something is inside me. It's strange and poisonous, trying to invade my system, trying to kill my peace.

I'm nervous. I'm scared. We have Master Hilda now, so what's next?

"S-stacey.."

My head jerked towards Master Hilda sitting on a chair in the middle of the room being lit up with four torches. I can hear the cracks inside the fire furnace.

"You have to listen.."

"No! No fucking way. After what you've done earlier? No." I shouted angrily, remembering her controlling my mind. I can feel my body shaking as I remember the very reason why I am here.

"My life's been fucked up. Hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko. Pinadala kami ng supereminent dito to get you and bring you in peculiarim.. but what the fuck is his reason!?!" I asked, my vision's starting to blur and I know in any moment I will break down.

"Kaninong boses yung narinig ko? Sinong kausap mo nung narinig ko yung boses mo? Is she my mother? Tell me!"

My heart sank. Ramdam ko ang kirot sa puso ko kasabay ng desperasyon sa tono ng boses ko. Master Hilda remained silent, her eyes are sadly looking at me.

"Stacey, you have to calm down."

"How the fuck am I going to calm down!? Answer my goddamn question!" I begged, bursting out with tears. I'm so pathetic.

"Hindi dapat kita pupuntahan Stacey. Hindi dapat ako magpapakita sainyo because I know the Supereminent is looking for me but your mother, Evanna, sinabi nya sakin na puntahan kita." She explained.

That's it. I cried my heart out loud and sat on the floor. Nakasama nya ang mama ko samantalang ako na anak nya, ni hindi ko sya makita manlang. I felt someone's arms wrapped around me as i smell Red's scent. He's caressing my back.

"Supereminent Demetrio Demetrius doesn't know any of me, Sandy and Eva's plan. Hindi ka na dapat pa pumunta dito." Master Hilda continued. Anong ibig nyang sabihin? Mabilis kong inangat muli ang tingin ko sakanya.

"W-what? Anong kinalaman ni Tita Sandy dito?"

"She's an energy vampire. The three of us used to be friends during our childhood."

Hindi makapaniwalang tiningnan ko ang mga mata nya. I saw nothing but sincerity, she's not lying. So all this time, alam ng tita ko kung sino talaga ako. Alam nya ang tungkol sa mga magulang ko. Tangina lang..

"Bakit? Bakit nyo ko pinagmukang tanga!? Baket!!!? Anong kasalanan ko sainyo?!" Sigaw ko bago humagulgol ng iyak. Hindi ko alam nararamdaman ko, halo halo. Masyadong magulo.. masyadong masakit.

"You have to understand Stacey.. si Eva ang may gusto nito and it doesn't mean na pinagmumuka ka nyang tanga. She's protecting you because you are the imperius."

"What?" I heard Bella spoke this time followed by Zhea's gasp, covering her mouth.

"Hindi ka pwedeng makita ng mga Seulas. They will get you like what they did to your father. After all, ikaw na imperius ang pakay nila." May tono ng pagaalalang sabi ni Master Hilda.

Napapantig ang tenga ko. Unti unting nabubuo lahat lahat sa utak ko. Unti unti kong nalalaman kung sino ba talaga ako. Hindi ako handa..

"It all started back when the Seulas attack in Peculiarim 17 years ago. Alam kong hindi dapat ako ang magsabi sayo nito, but seeing you being like that, I should tell everything to you."

The room suddenly became foggy. That was the moment I realize na nagbabago ang kulay ng room depende sa nararamdaman ng nasa loob nito. No one spoke aside from Master Hilda.
