The worried tone of Master Badufalsa made me sat up on my bed. The sun hasn't risen up yet.
"Don't worry about it, Julia. I know Hilda more than everyone else."
"The whole griptons knew Hilda was a criminal--"
"I want you to put trust in me. This could be our way to gain back something important we had lost."
My eyebrows instantly furrowed after what supereminent has told. Mabilis kong ibinaling sa iba ang atensyon ko para mawala sa usapan nilang dalawa. Gain back something they had lost? Sinasabi ba nyang kami ang ipupusta nya para lang makuha ang something na yun? Kumukulo ang dugo ko. Anong klaseng eskwelahan to? Para lang sa isang bagay na yon, ipupusta nila ang buhay ng apat na estudyante. Ganun ba?
Habang nagaayos ng sarili, hindi ko maiwasang mainis at magalit. Hindi ko na lang sana narinig pa yon. If they will really use us for their hidden agenda, then so be it. Pagod na din naman ako. Bahala na kung mamamatay o hindi. I will do it like how they want me to do it.
Hindi ko na nilingon ang Wilson twins at kaagad na tinungo ang opisina ni Master Badufalsa after receiving the blue light from my yell stone. As soon as I arrived in her office, nandun na sila leanne. Mukang sinabihan sila ng personal kahapon kaya agad na nandito na sila. Mabilis na naman akong nilukob ng halo halong emosyon. Ramdam ko ang pangingibabaw ng inggit. Pakiramdam ko pinagmumuka nila kong tanga.
"Goodmorning." Walang gana kong bati habang pilit na tinatago ang naiisip at nararamdaman ko. Master Alfina has taught us how to hide our thoughts from mind griptons, thanks to her I no longer need to worry especially in this kind of situation.
"Your mind was blocked. I can't get into your--"
"Yeah, I've blocked it from mind griptons. I sometimes need privacy, and you 'perfectly know it' Master Badufalsa." Mabilis kong putol sa sasabihin ni Master Badufalsa emphasizing some words. They're taken a back from my sudden actions and words but right now, I don't care. I really don't care.
Leanne then cleared her throat, maybe for lighting up the atmosphere. But I never tore my gaze to Master Badufalsa. I looked straight at her eyes, completely showing my flaring hatred.
"I never thought you'll be acting like this--"
"I never thought you're planning to do this." Pagputol ko sa sinasabi nya. She was taken a back, but still I don't care. Gusto kong isipin ang sarili ko lang sa oras na to. Wala akong pakialam.
"So, what's up for this day?" I asked nung hindi na nagsalita pa si Master Badufalsa. Right at this moment I should feel guilty and all pero hindi. Mas nangingibabaw ang galit ko dahil sa nalaman ko.
"W-we're planning to back you up.. y-you know, in case of emergency." Leanne answered while stuttering making me clench my teeth and balled my fist.
"Wow. That's so kind of you. But no, thank you."
My answer made them look more shocked. I don't care. Hindi ko kailangan ang tulong ng mga mapanlinlang na to. Kaya ko ang sarili ko. Kung iniisip nilang malilimutan ko yung pinaplano nila dahil tutulungan nila ako, nagkakamali sila.
"A-are you sure stacey? We are willing to help you, really." Leanne said, trying to convince me with her smile although her eyes looks uncomfortably at me.
"I belong to the class A and I can summon the intactum projecta. I guess I have nothing to worry. Unless someone is trying to plan putting me in deathbed in exchange of gaining golds." I said the last sentence looking at master badufalsa dangerously. I saw her gulped down making me convinced enough that they're really up to something.
Clenching my teeth and balling my fist, I walk pass by them and lean to the wall next to a huge window.
Time had come and we're bound to set off. There's a portal at Master Badufalsa's office, making this as the meeting place gain such sense. Bella is wearing her usual expression. Beside her was Red looking so cool and next to him is Zhea busying herself admiring the portal.
I should've join Zhea drooling at the white portal inside a cabinet, but I just can't. Just to think we're all meeting a criminal that can kill us is more than enough to suck out all of my mood.
"Before you leave, I just wanted to remind you that the Exhigriptonial Matchup will happen five days from now. Kailangan nyong matapos ang punishment for you to attend and compete for the said event." Master Badufalsa announces making me mad as hell. Ganyan na ba sila kadesperado makuha ang putanginang bagay na yun!?
"This is hilarious. Why did my parents let me be enrolled in this fucked up school?" Bella commented in annoyance. I somewhat agree with her with a snort.
"Who wanted to go first?" Master Alfina then said, ignoring what bella commented. Zhea rose her arms up in the air with full energy.
"There you go, Miss Hugh. Enter the portal when you're ready."
Zhea walk towards the cabinet and get through it then vanished in just a blink of an eye. I wonder where does the end of this portal would be in naturans' habitat..
The next person to vanish was Bella followed by Red. All of them, the death grip and master alfina looked at me as the Wilson twins get through the portal. I did not show any kind of emotions while walking in front of the cabinet portal.
"Stacey--"
"Shut up. If you're going to wish me goodluck, shut it. I don't need it." I said cutting Leanne's word.
Before getting through the portal, I reach for my jeans pocket and hold for the yell stone. I turned to them and throw it on the floor.
"I will show everyone how strong I am. I will show you how I can survive without any of your help."
"Stacey, whatever your plan--"
"Is none of your fucking business, lance. You know what, i hate it when people I trust starts to fool me. I guess you also hate that." I said while shaking my head as I turn towards the portal and entered without hesitation.
The familiar feeling starts to cover my body as the forces pushed me into an upside down and side by side position with one thought in my mind: this will end soon. I'll gonna end this shit as soon as possible.
The blinding lights welcomed me as I stepped on the wooden ground. I roam my eyes at the familiar place we are in. We're in the headquarters of death grip. I sigh as I step out of the cabinet before closing it shut, the bright lights from the portal vanished as I do it.
"Stacey, have you been in this place before?" Zhea then suddenly asked. I just nod as an answer and paved my way to a room.
I started organizing my things in the same room I occupied the first time I've been here. Ganun pa din ang itsura, walang pinagbago. I walked towards the windowpane and watch the morning sun shines. I have to plan something. This will be hard since wala akong background sa Hilda na yon..
She's one of the masters before in Peculiarim, so definitely she's a mind gripton.. and according to Supereminent Demetrio, she also has the wind grip.
How am I going to dodge her wind with my hearing grip?
Inhaling deeply, I decided to go outside the room and ask the others what's their plan in mind. Zhea was standing at the door the moment I turn around from the windowpane. She's looking at me, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Alam mo ang tungkol sa death grip?" Zhea asked. I looked at her dumbly after realizing it.
