Narrator: Last time, on Dragon Ball Z! In order to stop the evil Raditz and save the life of his son, Goku made the ultimate sacrifice! And in the battle's shocking climax, both villain and hero alike, fell before the might of Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon. Though the battle has been won, a dark threat still looms over the Earth. With his final breath, Raditz revealed that three more Saiyans, even more powerful, were now on their way. And for the time being, the world has lost its greatest defender.
Goku: Take care of G-Gohan... 'Kay?
Krillin: I'll wish you back, Goku.
Beetroo: yeah we will!
Krillin: yeah! We already have three Dragon Balls
Goku: See... you... soon.
Krillin: Goku? Goku!
Narrator: But hope is not lost. Though Goku has left this world for now, Kami, the Guardian of the Earth, has plans for him in the next! A new adventure begins today!

Bulma shook her head in disbelief, her hands clutching Gohan protectively.
Bulma: Huh? Kami took him?
Piccolo, was standing near by, with his arms folded.
Piccolo: That's right. That meddling old fool.
Bulma: Huh? What do you mean?"
Bulma furrowed her brow.
Bulma: Kami wouldn't just take him without reason."
Piccolo: I don't know why, and to be honest. I really don't care. Goku's dead, either way.
Piccolo replied, his tone as harsh as the rocky landscape around them.
Krillin scratched the back of his head, glancing nervously at Master Roshi.
Krillin: What do you think, Master Roshi?
Beetroo hands gohan to bulma and Kinibi runs up to Beetroo and hugs him.
Master roshi: Hmm...
Master Roshi stroked his beard thoughtfully.
Master roshi: Kami is the guardian of the Earth. Whatever he's doing, we can at least take comfort in knowing his intentions are good.
Krillin: Yeah, well, I for one will take a lot more comfort once we find the rest of the Dragon Balls and wish Goku back!
Krillin replied, determination edging his voice.
Bulma sighed, feeling the weight of frustration and helplessness.
Bulma: Ugh! We could really use Yamcha's help right now. But as usual, he's never around.
