A/N

From this chapter onwards will be going on the present tense (meaning Hua Ying is back at being our main character! Yey 🥳). Thus, there won't be any indicators in the titles to show which year the scenes are placed after Hua Ying's death because he is very much alive right now. 😂
(Yeah, I know that he has been alive for 17 years already but bleh, his family figured it out only now. So...😉)

"No! Lan Zhan... Stop!" Luo Ying gasped, slightly pushing her horny lover away from her.

She knew that he missed her as much as she missed him, but this wasn't a time for them to do this stuff. They just reunited and she needed to explain everything to her brothers. Otherwise who knows what they would do? They were really overprotective of her. And what if they called their parents or in the worst case scenario, her fiance to come over here?

No. She definitely did NOT want to deal with that right now.

"No! Missed A-Ying." Lan WangJi protested, forcefully pinning Luo Ying's pushy hands behind her back.

"Ow, Lan Zhan...!!" She cried, both in pain and disagreement but Lan WangJi pretended like he didn't hear.

It was always like this in her previous life whenever she asked for something Lan WangJi didn't want to comply with. He would ignore her and proceed with whatever he had been doing as if she didn't even say a single thing in the first place. If it was any other time, Luo Ying wouldn't have minded this behavior, but this clearly wasn't the time.

From the way Lan WangJi hurriedly dragged her behind him to Jingshi amidst the petrified looks on everyone's faces, she was so sure that her brothers would come to the rescue anytime soon even though she didn't need any.

"Have patience, Lan Zhan... My brothers will skin you alive if they walk into this!" She tried again while struggling to break free from Lan WangJi's monstrous grip.

"Not afraid." Lan WangJi muttered stubbornly before pulling off his forehead ribbon to tie up Luo Ying's arms together.

"But- Ouch! Lan Zhan... It hurts! Can't you see that I'm a woman and not a man?! Be gentle!!" Forgetting whatever she tried to say, Luo Ying snapped when the ribbon tightened around her wrists to a slightly uncomfortable level, completely preventing her from even thinking about moving them again.

"Sorry." The man apologized, but she knew all too well to say that he wouldn't change anything.

So she sighed, "Aiya...Lan Zhan... Why can't you read the situation, eh? My brothers would barge in here anytime soon and if they called my adoptive parents, it would be a disaster. Can't you wait until I soothe them down first?"

Lan WangJi, "They can't break in. No one can."

Luo Ying gaped, "...What did you mean by that?"

"They are just immortals. Not matured enough to breach past my barrier." Lan WangJi gladly took that chance to flaunt his capability, though doing that stood against the rules of his Gusu Lan sect.

Luo Ying squinted her eyes at the man, "What do you mean?"

"Pay attention." Lan Wangji demanded as he embraced his soulmate tightly so she could sense the power surging inside of him easily.
