11) 20th year - Reunion

"Lady Luo! Please slow down!!" A boy in his twenties yelled for his young lady while trying to catch his breath. But the energetic young maiden in front didn't seem like she heard any of it as she continued sprinting towards the buzzing market.

As she ran past the stalls like the fresh summer breeze with her long black hair and exquisite white and red robes swaying along with her movements, everyone present around stopped for a while to gaze at her ethereal beauty. Though her beauty was hidden behind a veil, everyone stopped for a while to stare.

However, when she suddenly bumped into someone unexpected, everyone except her held their breath in fear, feeling the cold aura the man extruded in annoyance.

"Is this how a young maiden supposed to act, Luo guniang?" He asked coldly as he grabbed the maiden from her waist to prevent her from falling down due to the collision.

"Uh" She muttered, avoiding eye contact with the man.

"Lady Luo! Are you okay?" Her attendant called worriedly, finally catching up to his master. But the moment he noticed the man, he stopped where he was and bowed down apologetically.

"Sixth young master Luo..."

"Is this how you are taking care of my sister? Allowing her to run around like a wild horse? What would happen if she fell or someone tried to hurt her? Are you tired of living?! And where is that annoying little brat, Wei Yang?" The man snapped at the poor servant, not bothering about the gaping crowd.

"It's not his fault, Mingxue ge... Don't yell at him and A-Yang might be somewhere around here buying whatever sweet that catches his interest." The maiden defended, earning a burning glare from her brother. But before he could continue yelling, another two boys with similar facial features approached the three.

"Why are you always yelling at her? Just let her enjoy her youth. Don't be a stinky old man who doesn't know how to enjoy life." The younger one out of the two scolded as he broke the maiden out of her grumpy brother's grasp.

"Zhizhi ge..." She happily snuggled closer to her most favorite brother after throwing a smug smirk at the other. She even dared to mouth the words, 'Grumpy gege!' to the already annoyed young master!!

"You little-"

"That's enough, A-Xue. Nothing bad happened. So let's get going. Otherwise we will be late. It's already the evening." The older boy dismissed and turned back to go on their way up to the mountain of Gusu. But before walking away he quickly added, "And A-Ning, go fetch A-Yang from wherever he is right now otherwise he will be lost."

"Yes, fourth young master Luo."

It was the third time they received an invitation to attend the lectures of the Lan sect which was supposed to be ignored once more if not for their sister's whining. She practically threw up a tantrum every time they received that invitation for the past two years and only the recent and third tantrum she threw up in front of everyone at Qing Jing Peak a few days ago succeeded in breaching past their parents' stubborn minds.

The first time she did that two years ago, their parents locked her up in her courtyard for six months, punishing her with copying the rules of their Cang Qiong Mountain Sect* along with the separate rules of each peak sect under it for a thousand times resulting in Luo Ying going crazy and burning down her whole courtyard to ashes without any prior warning. If it wasn't for the protective charms on their servants' and disciples' uniforms, that fire would have killed at least half a dozen people by the time the others were altered about the matter.
