Luo Ying didn't exactly remember what happened to her. For a second, she was totally fine and happy as she enjoyed the looks on their parents' faces. Especially the look Yue Shaoqing had on his face. The next second, everything became blurry. She must have lost consciousness seeing how she didn't remember coming back here, back home and to her own room. She frowned deeply as she got up from the bed.

"Lan Zhan... Why did you bring me here? What happened?" Luo Ying asked, not too loudly since there was no need to do so. If he is within the hearing range, he would definitely answer her right away and Luo Ying knew that very well.

But for the first time, that didn't happen.

"A-Zhan..." Frowning a bit more, she called again, this time a little louder than before.

Again, no answer.

This time, Luo Ying felt like something was wrong; terribly wrong.

Never in her life she had to wait this long for her soulmate to answer her. Never in her life had he ignored her for this long and thus, she began to panic and started to imagine the worst of all as the dread started to creep up her spine.

"Xingan... Where- where are you...? I don't feel so good right now. I'm scared. Please... take me home..." As she searched through the room for her soulmate, Luo Ying sobbed softly but deep down she already knew that she wouldn't find him anywhere near. Yet she searched all through her residence before trying to go out to continue searching.

That's when she realized the actual situation she was in.

She was locked up in her room, away from her beloved with no way to get back to him. Her powers too seemed to be blocked out by a very powerful restriction spell that even she who had read about so many ancient spells, charms and arrays doesn't seem to recognize a thing. But she made a guess that there could be a high possibility for the restriction spell being something similar to a cursed shackle!*

She felt like crying even more.

How did everything end up like this? She didn't understand. They were fine not too long ago and they even promised that there won't be any more separation. But look at the situation now... She felt like crying and laughing at the same time for the cursed luck of her rotten fate.

"Hello?! Anybody outside? Let me out! I need to see my husband!!" She yelled banging on the door only to receive no reply. Yet she didn't dare to stop what she was doing and continued banging on the door as hard as she could while yelling to be freed from her prison which she once regarded as her own comfortable room.

"Let me out! Right now!!" Her desperate demands fell into deaf ears until it eventually died down as she tired herself enough to pass out from exhaustion from all the yelling and banging.

The next time she opened her eyes, she was laying on her bed once again but this time, not alone.

She felt the familiar presence of her mother beside her, which she decided to ignore right away as she once again closed her eyes to pretend like sleeping.

"There is no point in being stubborn, A-Ying. We did what we had to for your own good." Seeing how his daughter gave him the cold shoulder, Shen Qingqiu explained in his usual aloft tone but Luo Ying didn't give the honor of acknowledgement to the man who took over the role of her mother. Shen Qingqiu sighed in exasperation at his daughter's behavior.

"Stop acting like we just forced you to toss away your favorite toy." He snapped, slightly glaring at the unmoving girl. And for his amusement, that sentence earned him a small, yet humorless chuckle from Luo Ying as she finally decided to stop pretending like sleeping.
