"Good morning! I know that you are welcomed already but I want to welcome you again since this is my first official encounter with you..." Hua Ying greeted while having his iconic smile on full display, blinding half of the class with its brightness and baking the other half with its warmth without much trouble. Lan Wangji silently stood to the side, basking in the warm presence of his enthusiastic madam Lan.
It was the day after their discussion about allowing Hua Ying to help his husband in whatever way possible. So here they are, introducing himself to Lan Wangji's class full of disciples in the most un-lan way. Not that he or anyone else would care to point that out since everyone who knew him loved the man for who he was. Besides, they missed the man dearly. Thus, no one dared to stop him from doing whatever he wished to do. Still, there were few curious disciples who thought that the man is too wild to be a lan and some were stupid enough to voice that out right in front of Lan Wangji, the most overbearing husband in history beside his own father-in-law.
"Who are you? And aren't you too wild to be a lan?" A disciple asked in a somewhat rude tone, eyeing the high-end Lan styled outer robes with both silver clouds and red spider lilies embroidered along the hemlines and the contrasting crimson inner robes Hua Ying wore.
Lan Wangji's eyes narrowed at the ignorant boy. Hua Ying sighed at his stupidity as he began his usual bragging: "Of course I have to be wild. Otherwise how could I live up to my name?"
"Who are you then?" Another disciple voiced his curiosity.
"Oh, me? I'm Madam Lan. This handsome sect leader's wife." Hua Ying said with a proud, almost smug smile. A collective gasp filled the room as the disciples looked at one another.
How on earth they didn't know about the great Hanguang Jun's marriage?
Apparently, Hua Ying's plan to render everyone speechless worked far better than he imagined to be. Lan Wangji shook his head at his mischievousness.
"Don't fool around." He advised, wrapping his arm around Hua Ying's waist to bring him closer to his own body.
"But A-Zhaaan..." Hua Ying whinnied in fake disappointment.
"He is indeed Madam Lan, Lan Hua Xianle. He will be here to help from now on. You must listen to him and respect him the same as you do with any other elder." Ignoring Hua Ying's pouting, Lan Wangji announced to the classroom before starting the lecture.

"A-niang!" To every other ignorant cultivator's surprise, Lijun came barreling towards his mother the moment they were dismissed from the lecture room. The rules would be damned when he has his mother to run into. However, Xiulin and Ruohua still followed the 'no running' rule, though they too walked as fast as the rule allowed them to.
"No running, baobei!" Hua Ying reminded softly, skillfully catching the boy in his arms.
"Since when did you decide to follow rules? Everyone said that you are the worst at following rules." Hua Lijun ratted his mother out, all the while basking in his mother's warmth.
Hua Ying gasped dramatically at the boy, "Who told you such nonsense?"
Lijun, "Everyone knows that, a-niang. Even Zǔ shúfù confirmed that."
"Mn. A-niang is playful." When his third son joined the conversation saying that, Hua Ying didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Good thing he spotted his beloved and second son approaching them through his rear view. So he quickly detached from his second youngest to reattach himself to Lan Wangji, all the while whining in complaint; "Lan Zhan!!! Your children are bullying me!!"
