Just as quickly I had arrived, I left. My goodbyes to Angela were solemn and swift, saying so long to what I had hoped would be a friend. I pranced around for the remainder of my morning trying to find Lena and tell her goodbye as well, but to no avail. Now I found myself standing once again at the door of Commander Morrison's office, wearing my white jumpsuit and combat boots to ready myself. Knocking lightly, the door slid open and saw Commander Reyes sitting on a chair across from Morrison, lost in conversation. Noticing me, they fell quiet and stared me down.
"(Y/N), good morning. How did you sleep?" Commander Morrison questioned, leaning back in his chair.
I shrugged, trying to avert my gaze, "I slept okay."
That couldn't have been further from the truth. I tossed and turned all night last night worrying about what I had signed up for. I would be contributing to dirty work by assisting them, which is something I didn't like. Something I didn't stand for. Then again, I spent the majority of my life breaking the law with a back alley medical center. I had a knack for finding myself trouble.
"Angela wrote a brief report on your quick thinking, and I have to say, I was amused," Morrison spoke again. Smiling sheepishly, I nodded and muttered a thanks. Glancing up through my eye lashes, I saw Commander Reyes glaring at me as though I just murdered everyone he loved. That, or it was just his resting face- a terrifying thought.
"Reyes will be escorting you to the Blackwatch headquarters this morning, your things are being packed up as we speak." I scrunched my nose, thinking to myself what a violation of privacy that my room is so easily accessible. I nodded and Reyes rose to his feet with a grunt, walking out through the same door I came in. Looking back to Morrison with one last forced smile, I followed Commander Reyes.
We walked in silence, I followed slightly behind and watched the white metallic walls of Overwatch pass to divert my gaze. Our boots against the ground echoed down the quiet halls, and I wondered to myself if this was really the right decision for my future. I would be stuck as a medic for someone that didn't care for me, to put it lightly. Eventually, we walked out a door to what looked like a loading doc. Vehicles lacking the Overwatch symbol littered the lot, loading up crates of what I thought to be ammo and weaponry. One particular vehicle stood out, and it was the one we were approaching. Grey, with blackout tints and the driver stood outside of it. The doors to the backseat opened, and Reyes and I slid in.
I pressed myself as close to the door as possible once it closed, leaning my head on the window. I didn't want to be in this car, I wanted to be with Helio in his office- or even with Angela, someone I just met. Reyes used intimidation tactics for everything, much to my dismay, and lacked any respect from me thus far. The silent type, and if he wanted to play that game so could I. Shutting my eyes from the lack of sleep the night before, I found the sounds of the moving car dissipate, as did the world around me.

"We're here." I jolted awake and rubbed my face, groaning slightly. I looked to my right and saw Reyes staring at me, unmoving. I immediately looked away, my cheeks getting slightly hot knowing that I snore. A part of me felt bad. A part. It was their fault I couldn't sleep in the first place, tossing me from one place to another and making me feel like I had a knife at my neck with what I said.
Though, the thoughts only lasted a second, my jaw dropping as I looked at the enclosed facility we had driven into. It looked to be underground, and I frowned slightly at the idea I would yet again not have a window. The door opened and I nearly fell out from leaning against it, muttering hushed curses, I stepped out into the facility. Machinery chaotically occupied the space, seemingly unorganized. Cement floors, walls, ceiling- home sweet home.
