Backstory: She was born in the Cloud Kingdom and was a Writer of Destiny, but wanted to go on adventures like in the what she and the other monks write for Ninjago. So, she ran away to Ninjago when she was 8 to write her own destiny.
When, she got to Ninjago, she got attacked by some skeletons, but was saved by Korgran, who was on his way to Shintaro because he had gotten an invite from King Vangelis. After she told him about how she wanted to be an adventurer, he decided to bring her along. took on the same request Vangelis sent them to complete.
When they get to Shintaro they meet Fungus and Plundar, who were also invited by Vangelis. They were requested to retrieve the Skull of Hazza D'ur from the dangerous Dungeons of Shintaro and bring it back to Vangelis so it can be destroyed.
After entering the dungeons and meeting Adam, the four make it through the traps easily and find the skull. However, when Korgran touches it, Dark Magic seeps through his body, so he drops it. The group realize the skull is evil, so they carry it using Korgran's axe.
The group make it back to the Ivory City, but Vangelis has different plans. He tells the group they can possess so much power, but the group insists that the Skull of Hazza D'ur must be destroyed. After realizing the truth, Vangelis presses a button and they fall through a pit.
10 years later, Cole, Wu, and Vania were cast into Rock-Bottom, where they met up with Fungus, Korgran, Plundar, and Fei, which now call themselves the Lowly. After the four tell them about their past, they decide to travel back up to the surface through the caverns. They end up getting lost through the caverns, though Cole is encouraged by Wu to use his Elemental Energy to illuminate the correct path, and find themselves coming across a lava stream. Attacked by a Lava Monster, the group are able to cross through safely and progress forward on a mine cart, though they get attacked by another Lava Monster. Eventually, they come across the Stone Mech, and learned about the Spinjitzu Burst. They then find themselves at the Heart of the Mountain, where Cole experiences a deeper connection with her mother mentally. The group then ride on the Stone Mech, with the Lowly attaching wheels on it. They are then attacked by a Lava Monster and some Dire Bats, but they are able to make it back onto Shintaro, announcing themselves as the 'Upply.' However, when confronted by the Army of Shintaro, Cole and the Upply head to the Dungeons of Shintaro to save the ninja, the Geckles and Munce from the Skull Sorcerer. After Cole defeats him using the Spinjitzu Burst, Vania is crowned Queen of Shintaro and the Fungus, Korgran, and Plundar lived with the Geckles, Munce and the Sky Folk in Shintaro while Fei decides to go with the ninja because she craved a life of adventure. The rest of the Upply were sadnto say goodbye to their team member, but understood and bid Fei and their ninja allies farewell as they board the Destiny's Bounty.
Fei goes with the ninja back to Ninjago and allow her to stay at the Monastery with them, she even helps them on adventures. Cole becomes like a big brother to her and Vania is her best friend, she and Vania keep in touch by writing letters to eachother.
