Third person POV
"Where do you think you are going?" The voice was familiar yet it held a disrelish , grave anguish swirled out causing the two figures ahead of him to halt their steps . Samuel was the first to react upon hearing the footsteps approaching them closer. He turned around quite prepared mentally to face this person.
It was Min-jun. He didn't look as pleasant as other days . Today he had a swollen cheek with a bleeding lip . Yet he managed to stand out in front of Samuel, leaving him speechless for a moment until the situation had hit him . Y/n needed to be checked up and that should be his first priority right at the moment. " It's an emergency."
Subconsciously his hold on his best friend tightened when Min-jun's sharp gaze checked through Y/n's sagged down figure. " She was fine till yesterday." He commented , now with a frown settled on his face . Samuel couldn't quite comprehend whether it was concern or sarcasm .
" Well she isn't now . She got hurt yesterday and nobody bothered checking on her once. If you are having a woman under your team then you should have a mindset of treating her equally. When the other injured ones were called in , why was she left out ? " Samuel was getting sensitive. Y/n could sense it and had tried to stop him from speaking too much out of his rage .
She knew very well what had caused her best friend's mood to switch into the over protective mode . It was understandable taken in the fact that throughout her past , she was left injured , ignored , kicked off and all in the hands of Samuel. He had always been the one to take care of her and had fought through the bloody sights . He himself wasn't fond of blood , it made him nauseous but over that Samuel detested seeing her in a state she was then .
And it seemed Min-jun and him weren't on a very good term , hence causing the sharpness in his replies . " Don't jump to conclusions. When the others were called in for aid , she wasn't present. In fact she got back quite late . Plus I believe every room has a first aid kit available. How are we held responsible for something she was careless about? " Min-jun at his defence stood ready with points.
" Very well..." Y/n's voice shivered with the state of her as she held back Samuel from snapping back at Min-jun. Her friend was clearly going the wrong way and that would only cause more chaos . "I apologise for such carelessness. Now may we leave ? " She didn't want to sound miserable but the way her voice croaked out the plea was nothing but exactly what she didn't wish for .
" You cannot. I can't allow you both to be on your own when your state is like this ." An instant scoff from Samuel interrupted Y/n to have a chance to speak although she wasn't sure whether she could anymore. Her legs had started to give up on her from standing for this long . " I truly don't get you guys . Is lying something like a ritual in this group? You lure people in with lies and then bash them with unsaid truths ?"
This statement of Samuel sounded rather personal . Strangely enough Min-jun gave nothing but silence in return . These two were acting too arrogantly towards each other than necessary. It only seeded questions in Y/n . Just her state didn't allow her to shoot them with the said questions. " Why do you want to accompany us ?" She managed to utter with a clear confusion written on her face .
