27 | Win him back

Y/n’s POV

“ She's stable now . We have injected her with anaesthetic so that she can rest and help with her anxiety but psychological treatment is necessary for the trauma being induced in her.“

I listened to what the doctor said partially. By the time we had reached the hospital with my mother passed out I had already had a break out of panic . It was terrifying to watch her collapse once she had taken a glance at me. After blaming myself for at least a hundred times and finally getting to know that she was alright and I wouldn't end up losing my mother as soon as I found her , I could finally feel myself crumbling down with the splash of fatigue hitting me .

I nodded and thanked the doctor who gave me a bit of a sceptical look . Firstly our story wasn't very much believable and secondly my appearance itself was creeping many of the people out. With bloody marks all over my shirt it wasn't a reassuring sight at all . It was all thanks to Samuel who managed the matter and got us a private quarter away from the general public, with a little dealing with the doctors .

“ Can I meet her ?" I wasn't sure whether my question was heard because I couldn't really decipher how I sounded . “ Yes you may do so but I think you yourself need a rest first to stand straight." I glanced up at the doctor who faced me with a pleasant smile then . The previous look of distaste had left his face completely.

He looked young , somewhere around my age but there was a sense of maturity which could be found in most of the doctors . A spectacle enclosed his eyes , framing their sharp yet tender looks while his hair hid his brows , parting a little from the middle and giving a peek of his forehead.

He was tall enough to make my neck strain after monitoring him . Hence I gave up doing so and turned away to walk into the room where my mother was kept . His statement for me remained unanswered but he didn't make an attempt to ask me a second time . Good for him. I thought but not even seconds later as I had taken my fourth step , I felt my vision blur with a sense of nausea and tiredness taking over me .

My steps faltered causing me to halt and hold my head which suddenly felt so heavy . I gasped out a breath when the floor below me started to feel more liquid than solid which seemed to be devouring me in itself.  Guess the doctor was right afterall.

As black flashed in front of my eyes , I failed to keep on standing after losing my balance. But , before I could fall down harshly, I felt myself being held as my body touched the cold floor not with a painful thud but gentle enough to keep me in a sitting position while my back rested against a hand which had saved me from the fall . “ Guess I was right afterall." I couldn't comprehend much but he definitely sounded as if teasing me .

And although I would have ignored him yet again in other times, this time I couldn't help but silently agree and give in to the switch off my body begged me for . It had taken too much , gone through too much . How long could one go after being left a living dead ?

Regaining consciousness was rather uncomfortable than pleasant with the strange buzzing in my head . The tiredness slowly refilled me as soon as my surroundings began to refill as well. As the buzzing faded into a dull ache at the back of my head and my body felt the light tingles of my nerves, I could hear a distant voice.

It sounded far until I was able to open my eyes and found Samuel sitting on one of the couches placed inside the room where I laid . He looked distressed, his features speaking volumes of the ache which his words lacked the emotions of .

“ I don't have to fucking know your past to fall in love with you . All I had to see was the person you are now....
I might have fallen for your little gestures… I was aware….. that you are broken and I was ready to still love you for the way you are... I wanted to fix you…” Samuel's voice was sounding like an echo at first with certain parts incomprehensible to my senses .
