Hiro's pov

It's been a years.

So years ago, there was this boy who's deeply in love with someone. And yeah, it was me and my girlfriend, Ara.

For almost 1 year and a month, I've waited for Ara's answer. Niligawan ko siya nang ganoon katagal hanggang sa nakuha ko rin ang matamis niyang "oo".

And when she did, I proved her that she won't regret having me.

I used to be her brain when she said she wanna be a valedictorian. When she said she wants to study on one of the prestigious university and wants to be a magna cum laude.

I used to be her money whenever she wants to buy her wants and need, whenever she wants to treat her friends on a resto.

I used to be her car whenever she wants to travel everywhere she wanna go.

I used to be her handkerchief whenever she cries.

I used to be her pillow whenever she falls asleep as she's sleepyhead.

I gave her one of my kidney when she had a kidney failure.

And yes, dämn¡t! I gave her my eyes and my heart when she had an accident!

That's how I love my girl, that's how I showed my love for her that I'm willing to do and sacrifice anything I can.

Funny, you can say. That I've been an ¡d¡ot for giving her the love she doesn't deserve from me. But I guess, that's love.

My love for her doesn't have any ending, I guess. Na kahit pa alam kong nagmumukha na akong tañga sa mata ng lahat ay patuloy at patuloy ko pa ring ibinibigay sa kaniya ang pagmamahal na meron ako.

You can punçh me, you can k¡ck me, you can throw me hurtful words. Well, I don't care.

Stup¡d, you might say. But that's okay, I don't mind.

The acc¡dent she had was when she's trying to escape from me wanting to meet that new guy she just met.

I saw her. When that moment she thought I'm asleep, she slowly went outside trying to keep the silence, worrying that maybe she'd wake me up. I, then, followed her because of curiosity, and that's when I found out that she's meeting someone else.

I saw that guy on the other side of the street. Due to excitement, I guess, thinking that they'll see each other again. When Ara was about to cross the road, the guy and Ara's smile on their face suddenly faded when Ara was bumped by a car that was running so fast. And that's when the accident happened.

Due to car accident, she had major injuries, she also had a temporary amnesia. What a miracle they say, that despite of the major injuries she had, she still managed to survive.

You may ask, what does Ara did when she woke up.

What did she reacted after she woke up. Did she look for me? Did she cry for me?

"So, Ara. What did you do when you woke up?" I asked after I told her the reason why I d¡ed.

"I woke up with James beside me."

"Oh, the guy whom you used to be with whenever I'm busy."

"Hiro..." she uttered trying to keep her tears not to fall down.

"You cheated. You know how much effort and love I'm giving you. But why is there still someone else? Does my efforts and love not enough? Am I not enough?" I again asked wearing a fake smile on my face

"Months after my recovery, James told me everything. Sinabi niya na ang boyfriend ko ang siyang nagsakripisyo upang muli akong mabigyan ng isa pang pagkakataon na mabuhay, and that's when I also realized the love you're giving me which I do not deserve. I'm so sorry, Hiro."

"Pagkatapos no'n pinili niyang iwan ako dahil na-gguilty siya. Pakiramdam niya, siya ang dahilan kung bakit ka namatay. Dahil kung hindi ako tumatakas para makipagkita sa kaniya, marahil ay hindi ako maaaksidente, marahil ay hindi mo isasakripisyo ang buhay mo." dagdag pa niyang sagot

"Pero nangyari na, Ara. You cheated. And you know what's the most stup¡d thing I'm feeling right now again? The reality that whatever we have came through, I'm still willing to forgive you." malungkot kong saad na siyang dahilan ng tuluyan nang pagtulo ng kaniyang luha.

"Stop." saad ko nang akma niya akong yayakapin.

Nagsisimula na ring mamanhid ang aking katawan, kahit ang aking paningin ay unti-unti nang lumalabo. Unti-unting nagliliwanag ang aking katawan, marahil ay ito na ang huling araw na makakasama ko siya.

"What's happening? Hiro? Hiro anong nangyayari sa 'yo?" naguguluhang tanong niya at nang mapagtanto kung ano na nga ba ang mangyayari ay mas lalong bumuhos ang kaniyang luha na sinuklian ko lang ng matipid na ngiti.

"Hiro, I'm so sorry. Please give me another chance, Hiro please. Let's give our love a second chance, Hiro." she pleaded

"How can I? Ara, mawawala na ulit ako. Hindi mo na ako makikita but I still promise na babantayan kita. You don't need to worry."

"No! Hiro naman e! Huwag mo naman akong iwan! Sabi mo mahal mo ako 'di ba? Sabi mo pinapatawad mo na ako? Bigyan natin ng second chance pagmamahalan natin. Hiro naman, huwag mo naman akong iiwan please. Pinagsisisihan ko lahat ng pagkakamali ko." umiiyak niyang saad.

"Hiro kung namatay ka para sa akin, pwede rin akong magpakamatay ngayon na para sa 'yo, para makasama ulit kita. Para hindi na natin kailangang magkalayo." tila nababaliw pa niyang mga sagot, iniisip ang mga paraan upang patuloy kaming magsama.

Namamanhid man ang mga kamay ay hirap kong idinampi ang aking hintuturo sa kaniyang labi at tsaka pinunasan ang pisngi niyang basa dahil sa patuloy na pagbuhos ng kaniyang luha.

"You don't need to."

"Just live your life to the fullest."

"I'll be by your side."

"Hihintayin kita sa kabilang buhay, Ara. Paalam."

"Hirooo... Hirooo!" umiiyak niyang tawag sa pangalan ko ngunit huli na.
