Charlies pov:

We got home from Italy a few days ago, and nicks not been as stressed because he's not surrounded by his dad and brother

But he's been kinda stressed about something else, which I don't know what as I've asked him many times before, but he won't tell me

Nick's love for me is like an unbreakable bond, a connection that transcends distance and time.

I've noticed it in the way he holds onto our moments together, cherishing each second as if it's the last. His reluctance to part ways, even for a short while, is rooted in a fear that I might slip away, vanish from his grasp.

At first, I mistook his desire to always be together as a sign of passionate love, which it is, but it's also layered with a fear of separation that runs deep within him.

It's in the way he hesitates to make plans without me, afraid that his absence might leave me feeling disconnected or distant.

His reassurance-seeking behaviours, the frequent texts or calls when we're apart, aren't born out of distrust but rather a need for reassurance that I'm still here, that I still feel the same way.

Reaffirming our bond has become an essential part of our relationship, a way to ease his worries and reassure him that I'll always be there, no matter the miles between us.

I think he has separation anxiety from all these obvious reasons I've said above. Last time when I saw Geoff, I spoke to him about it because it kept worrying me

Even Geoff thinks that Nick has separation anxiety.

I stood there for a while, thinking when I suddenly realised Nick and I hadn't been on a date for a while

The late afternoon light streamed through the window, casting a warm glow across the room. Nick was lounging on the couch, scrolling through his phone, probably looking through insta or tiktok.

I took a deep breath, my fingers tapping nervously against the edge of the kitchen countertop. This was it, the moment I wanted to make special, despite the comfort of our shared routine. With a determined exhale, I approached him.

"Hey, Nick?" I called out, trying to sound nonchalant but failing miserably as my voice carried an undertone of anticipation.

"Whats up?" Nick looked up, a soft smile gracing his lips as he met my gaze.

A rush of nerves threatened to halt my words, but I pushed through.

"I was thinking... you and me, we've been caught up with everything, and I realized we haven't had a proper date in a while. Would you want to go out on a date with me?"

There it was, laid out in the open, the simple yet significant question that held more weight than its words conveyed. I watched Nick's expression shift, a flicker of surprise followed by a gentle understanding.

He set his phone aside, his eyes meeting mine with an affectionate glint.

"Char, I'd love that. We've been so wrapped up with everything that I think a date sounds perfect."

Relief washed over me, accompanied by a surge of excitement.

"Great! I was thinking maybe we could try that new Italian place downtown tomorrow night?"

Nick nodded enthusiastically. "Sounds perfect. Just you and me, a proper date."

As we solidified our plans, the anticipation grew palpable, infusing the air with a renewed sense of adventure. It felt like we were teenagers again sneaking off school to go on little dates and stuff like that

Absolutely, let's rewrite that scene to fit Nick and Charlie's romantic dinner.

Third person:

As the city lights began to twinkle against the darkening sky, Nick and Charlie strolled hand in hand along the bustling streets, their laughter intermingling with the gentle hum of the evening.

They approached a sophisticated Italian restaurant, its exterior adorned with subtle, welcoming lights that reflected in their eyes filled with anticipation.

Entering the restaurant, they were enveloped in an ambience that spoke of intimacy and allure. Soft jazz melodies whispered in the background, enhancing the warm glow of the space decorated with flickering candles and elegantly set tables.

Seated at a cosy corner table, Nick and Charlie exchanged affectionate glances, their gazes speaking volumes without the need for words.

Their conversation flowed effortlessly, a mix of shared memories and dreams for the future painting a picture of their beautiful bond.

A waiter approached, exuding a genuine smile, presenting a menu filled with culinary delights. Together, they perused the offerings, playfully teasing each other about their choices before settling on a selection that promised to tantalize their taste buds.

Each course that arrived was a work of art, pleasing both to the eye and the palate. The flavours burst forth, a symphony of culinary expertise that elicited shared smiles and contented sighs.

Between bites and sips of exquisite wine, they found themselves caught in a moment of sheer connection, where the world around them faded, leaving only the presence of one another.

The dessert, a lavish creation of rich chocolate adorned with raspberries, arrived like a sweet finale to their evening.

Nick's eyes lit up with joy as Charlie playfully insisted on feeding him the first bite, a gesture that led to shared laughter and stolen kisses.

As the night progressed, they savoured the last moments, basking in the glow of their shared experience. With a gentle touch, Charlie reached for Nick's hand, their fingers entwining in a silent promise of more beautiful moments ahead.

Stepping out into the cool night air, they carried the warmth of the evening with them, their hearts brimming with the memory of a perfect night.
