Tw: body issues

Charlies pov:

I never thought pregnancy would be like this. I mean, sure, I'd heard about morning sickness and all the other symptoms, but experiencing them firsthand was a whole different story.

It started with the morning sickness. Except it wasn't just confined to the mornings. It hit me at all hours of the day, leaving me feeling drained and nauseous.

I couldn't even keep down a simple glass of water without feeling like I was going to throw up.

As the weeks went by, my body started changing in ways I never imagined. My clothes no longer fit properly, and my stomach seemed to be expanding by the day.

I couldn't help but feel self-conscious about my changing body. I wasn't used to this, and it made me question myself in ways I never had before.

One evening, as I stood in front of the mirror, examining my growing belly, Nick walked in.

He took one look at me and immediately wrapped his arms around me from behind, resting his chin on my shoulder.

"You're beautiful, you know that, right?" he whispered, his breath warm against my ear.

I couldn't help but scoff. "Yeah, right. I feel like a whale."

Nick gently turned me around to face him, his eyes full of love and understanding.

"You're carrying our child, Charlie. Your body is doing something incredible, something magical. And I think you're absolutely stunning."

Tears welled up in my eyes as I leaned into his embrace, feeling a wave of gratitude wash over me. In that moment, Nick's words were like a balm to my self-conscious soul.

"I just... I don't feel like myself anymore," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper.

Nick gently lifted my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze.

"You are still you, Charlie. You're just growing and changing, like all parents do when they're expecting. And through it all, I'm right here beside you every step of the way."

I couldn't help but smile through my tears, feeling a sense of reassurance wash over me. With Nick by my side, I knew I could get through anything, even the toughest moments of pregnancy.

As we stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, I realized that despite the challenges and insecurities, this journey was going to be worth it.

Because at the end of it all, we would be welcoming a precious little life into our world, a life created out of love. And that thought was enough to make me forget all my worries, if only for a moment.
