Chapter 10: Come Back To Me

Hey! So I have writer's block right now but I'm going to try to write a chapter.
So, I'm sorry if this one sucks even more than the last one!
Ok, on with the story!

Your POV
I walked down the path of the gated park. It was a beautiful day, but I couldn't enjoy it as much because he wasn't here.
I had moved on, though.

There was probably a reason that Kaneki didn't want me to see him. He said he loved me, but he was probably just caught up in the moment like I was.

Its been a whole year since I've seen him. He went missing. Some people say that his doctor helped him escape, and if that was the case, I didn't want to even look at him.

He's the reason that Kaneki is gone.

But others say that he was kidnapped. They're not sure by who. The police, that is.

Now, I fell in love with another guy. He was different from the normal, typical everyday person. But that's alright with me. His name is Uta. He's a punk/rock sort of guy. He's very adorable and he makes me laugh. I've been with him for about 8 months now.
I walked passed the place where Kaneki and I spent his birthday, and an ache in my heart appeared. I grabbed my shirt and stood there for a while.

Where did you go, Kaneki?

Kaneki's POV
"Are you going to eat or not? We're not going to wait for you all day, white head." Ayato asked me. I looked at the dead child on the ground.

"Not hungry." I said. Ayato shrugged and got up. Behind us Naki laughed uncontrollably and talked about how great his dead master was, Yamori.

Everyone other than us in the Aogiri Tree have been deceased.
"Are you going to eat or not, dumbass?!" Ayato screamed at Naki. "Huuuuuhhhhh?" Naki said turning around to look at Ayato and I. He looked back and forth from the dead child to us.

I'm so done with this guy. I grabbed his wrist and pulled him harshly to the ground, next to the child. "Eat." I said. He just laughed. I kicked him in the ribs. He laughed even more. "Oh Kaneki," he said between gasps of air. "What happened to you!?" He laughed a little more before he continued.

"When we first got you, you were this frightened boy who kept mumbling a girl's name. Now, let's see. Was it, (Y/N)? Was that her name?"

My eyes widened. I haven't forgotten about her. I thought about her every day. Had she moved on?
I hope so. I've caused enough pain already. She deserved someone better.

I turned away from Naki and looked out window of the building in construction. I could easily jump out of there and killed myself. We were on the second-to-last floor. So it would be a long fall.
I walked towards the window and looked down. (Y/N). . .
"Kaneki, let's go." Ayato said. Naki looked up, his face covered in blood. "Huuh? Already? But I was already getting started!" He whined. I grabbed him by the back of his shirt and pulled him up.
We hurried out of there.

Your POV
"Hey babe." Uta said as I sat down in front of him. "Hi." I said with a smile. We were at Anteiku.

He grabbed my hand. "How has your day been?" He asked me. "Good. How was yours?"

The girl with blue short hair brought us coffee. I guess Uta already ordered it. "It's been good." He smiled at me.

"(Y/N), I have to talk to you." I looked up at him from my coffee. Oh no, he wants to break up.

"What is it?" I asked with complete calmness in my voice. "I know about Kaneki." My eyes widened. "What?"

Uta POV
It was time for me to tell her. Yoshimura told me. I explained everything to her. From when he was converted into a ghoul, to now, how he was with Aogiri Tree.

I explained what that was to her, and how I and everyone that worked in Anteiku was a ghoul.
She panicked. "No, (Y/N), it's ok. We aren't going to hurt you."
She got up and backed away.

Your POV
I started to back away, but someone behind me stopped me. "(Y/N), it's ok." I turned around. It was the manager. "Sit back down." I turned back to Uta and he gave me a reassuring nod. The guy that I fell in love with 8 months ago was a ghoul. And so was Kaneki. And so was everyone that worked at Anteiku. Even the blue haired girl.

I sat back down. "Touka, close the shop. We can't let anyone in." The manager told the blue haired girl. She nodded and went outside to fetch the sign.

"Uta." The manager said. He got up from the chair and let the old man sit down. "Thank you."

He looked at me. "So, (Y/N). We have a plan for getting Kaneki back, but it's too dangerous for you to help us. We don't want to loose anymore lives than we already will. I know this might be hard for you, but we need you to be safe." I nodded. I was still in a state of shock, but I could understand what he was talking about.
The manager, who's name was Yoshimura, explained to me that they're was going to be a war between the Doves and Ghouls. In the middle of that fight, the members of Anteiku will create a distraction so Touka could go and try to retrieve Kaneki.
The whole plan was extremely dangerous. But it was for Kaneki.
They said that the war was in two days, so I should take my mother and father to someplace safe.

"Well, (Y/N), I understand that you love Kaneki," Uta said. "So, you know what this means." I stood up and hugged him. "Thank you so much for staying with me and keeping me company for 8 difficult months, Uta." He hugged me back. "Now, get going." I walked to the door which Touka unlocked.

I turn around and look at everybody. "Good luck." And with that, I left.
