Chapter 7: Love? Is That You?

I was exhausted by the time I got home. But happy.
The taste of Kaneki's lips lingered on mine. And I never wanted to forget it. It was around one when he brought me back home. We kissed goodbye over and over again, never wanting to let go of each other.

I walked up stairs. Well, I dragged myself up the stairs and flopped down on the bed. My parents were asleep, not caring at what time I got home tonight.

Wow, thanks guys, I love you too. But I really didn't care. I was happy actually. I don't want them worrying too much about me, but it wouldn't hurt for them to worry at least a bit.
Well, whatever. I had an amazing time with Kaneki. That night before I fell into a deep sleep, I thought about Kaneki over and over again. Just by thinking of him made me blush.

What is this feeling? What do you call it? Oh, that's right; Love.
Kaneki POV
I drove home, with a smile on my face. I was exhausted, so it was difficult to drive straight, but I made it home.

I got out of the car,and I heard someone crying. I turn around in circles to see who it is, but there's no one. Then, I heard the bushes rustle. "Hello?" I asked. I heard someone gasp, and grow quiet.
"Hello? Are you okay?" What I really wanted to ask was what the hell where they doing in my bushes. A girl slowly comes out behind the bush. She had purple hair. "Hey, what are you doing out here? It's freezing."

She looked up at me. "I-I'm sorry. It's just..." she looked down at... my neck? "I'm so hungry..." I nodded my head. "Okay," I said. "I'll go get you some food and a jacket for the way, okay?"
The girl smiled. "Okay.." I got up. "What's your name by the way?" I should at least know a person's name before I give them something.

Right?

"Rize." She said in almost a whisper. I nodded my head and turned around and headed inside my house. But I felt a hand cup over my mouth and something bit down on my neck. I screamed in pain, but they were muffled screams.

The person turns me around and I see that it's Rize. "You taste.. so.. good!" She whispered screamed between bites on my arm. One hand still cupped my mouth, while the other held my arm down. I grabbed my keys and stabbed her multiple times in the heart, but blacked out before I could see her die.
